    摘要: An adaptive antenna receiver whose follow-up performance is improved with respect to the angle change of the arrival direction of a desired signal. An antenna weight adaptive update section (11-1) adaptively updates the antenna weight according to a signals received by each antenna element and an error signal obtained from a desired signal corrected based on transmission channel estimation. An antenna weight direction constraint section (12-1) performs the constraint process for the antenna weight obtained by the antenna weight adaptive update section (11-1) to maintain the beam gain constant in the arrival direction of the desired signal. A beamformer (2-1) receives the desired signal through an array antenna using the antenna weight which has undergone the constraint process performed by the antenna weight direction constraint section (12-1). A transmission channel estimation section (3-1) estimates the transmission channel of the desired signal received by the beamformer (2-1) to correct the desired signal based on the estimation result.

    摘要: A mobile communication system capable of improving the system throughput. A base station (1) divides one cell into three sectors. A common pilot channel is transmitted to a plurality of mobile stations in the sectors by beams (101-103) whose directivity is controlled by an adaptive antenna for each of the sectors. On the other hand, when a mobile station (2) communicates data with the base station (1), the base station transmits a data channel and an individual control channel to the mobile station (2) by using a beam (201) whose directivity is controlled individually. The mobile station (2) switches between the common pilot channel and the individual control channel from the base station (1) for estimating the communication path quality.

The reference signal level determination section determines the level of a reference signal for generating an error signal used for antenna adaptive control on the basis of a reception level of each antenna before beam forming. The reception level detection sections calculate antenna weighting factors for the respective paths on the basis of the multiplex signals received through the respective antennas and the error signal output from the reference signal level determination section. The beam formers receive the received multiplex signals and form antenna directivity beams for the respective paths in accordance with the antenna weighting factors output from the reception level detection sections.

    摘要: A carrier recovery system combining a narrow band carrier phase estimator and a wide band carrier phase estimator, and a digital phase demodulator using this carrier recovery system. The narrow band carrier phase estimator extracts a carrier phase having a low pulse slip rate from received signal. This carrier phase, however, cannot track fast phase fluctuation due to fading. On the other hand, the wide band carrier phase estimator tracks fast phase fluctuation due to fading, and extracts a carrier phase from the received signal. From this carrier phase is subtracted the other carrier phase obtained by the narrow band carrier phase estimator, and the balance, after its fluctuating range is limited, is added to the carrier phase obtained by the narrow band carrier phase estimator, thereby making it possible to obtain a carrier phase which can track fast phase fluctuations due to fading without sacrificing the phase slip rate. By using the carrier phase obtained in this manner, there can be structured a digital phase demodulator suitable for mobile communication systems based on coherent detection. If carrier component is extracted by reversely modulating the received signal with reference signal obtained by subjecting to decision the signal demodulated by this digital phase demodulator, a carrier phase is recovered by filtering the extracted carrier component in a wide band, and the received signal is synchronously detected with this carrier phase, the error rate can be further reduced.
