摘要: A system, a method, and a computer program product for or managing grid server system resource(s) are disclosed. A processor of a grid server in a plurality of grid servers determines an ingestion rate of data received by the grid server for a backup. The ingestion rate corresponds to a speed of transferring of the received data into a memory of the grid server. The processor determines a deduplication and replication rate of the received data. Deduplication represents a deduplication of the received data by the grid server. Replication represents replication of the deduplicated received data to another server in the plurality of servers. The processor adjusts the deduplication and replication rate based on the ingestion rate.

摘要: A system, a method, and a computer program product for performing deduplication of data using a scalable deduplication grid are disclosed. A listing of a plurality of zone stamps is generated, where each zone stamp represents a zone in the plurality of zones in a data stream. The listing contains a logical arrangement of the plurality of zone stamps obtained from each storage location and being accessible by a plurality of servers. A first zone stamp in the listing is compared to a second zone stamp in the listing. The first and second zones are delta-compressed based on a determination that the first zone stamp is substantially similar to the second zone stamp. A server is selected to perform the comparison and delta-compression.

摘要: A control system and method is described having a framework in which many applications in a user interaction system (UIS) can share common data regardless of which application obtained the data and all without prior knowledge of the other applications. The shared data is typically personal data of the current user, such as name, location, preferences, etc. However, the system can also be used to share style sheets, announcements, etc., that can be utilized by multiple applications. The data is stored in a standardized manner in a location available to any application. Application's have access to the data based upon user privileges at any particular time.

摘要: A screen configuration is provided for the extraction of wastewater from a wastewater reactor, while precluding the entry of biological support media. The screen may be formed as a tubular structure, and may be drum-like or have wings in a T-shaped configuration. A flow modifier within the screen may include one or more tubes extending into the screen and forming annular sections around the tubes. Flow through the screen, then, is directed around the inner flow modifier tubes and through the tubes. The resulting pressures and flow velocities are such that slot velocities through openings in the screen are generally constant along the length of the screen, and the flow is more efficiently distributed. The screen may be reduced in length as compared to conventional wastewater treatment screens.

摘要: A telecommunications service control point having call blocking logic configured to block a percentage of call attempts to a called number and route a percentage of call attempts to the called number. The SCP comprises a processing system coupled to an interface. The processing system is configured to a process a plurality of query messages to generate a plurality of response messages containing call handling information for a plurality of call attempts to a called number. A first percentage of the call handling information includes instructions to block a corresponding first percentage of the plurality of call attempts to the called number. A second percentage of the call handling information includes instructions to route a corresponding second percentage of the plurality of call attempts to the called number. The interface is configured to receive the plurality of query messages and transmit the plurality of response messages.

摘要: There is provided a process for treating industrial wastewater that substantially eliminates the generation of excess solids in the system requiring mechanical removal. The wastewater undergoes an equalization step wherein hydraulic flow is smoothed and the pH of the wastewater is adjusted to near neutral pH conditions. The equalized wastewater is then transferred to aeration tanks where the organic process wastes are absorbed, metabolized, or otherwise biodegraded by the microorganisms in the mixed liquor in the aeration tanks. After the aeration step, the wastewater is separated by gravity in a clarifying step to separate the wastewater into a liquid phase and a semi-solid phase. The clarified liquid phase is withdrawn from the clarifier and discharged, while the semi-solid phase is transferred either directly back to the aeration/biological treatment step, as recycle-activated sludge, or into a bioreactor as waste-activated sludge. In the bioreactor the semi-solid phase is subjected to active aeration. The aerated waste-activated sludge is then batch-recycled to the equalization tank discharging to the aeration step where it is mixed into newly introduced untreated wastewater and undergoes a new cycle of biological treatment. As a result of the indirect batch-recycling of bioreactor waste-activated sludge into the mixed liquor (biomass containing waste sludge) under aeration, which is also receiving recycle-activated sludge and enzymes, the excess solids generated in this process virtually eliminated.
