摘要： Method and apparatus, in a data processing system that uses JMX as a mechanism for managing internal components, for processing JMX requests to a managed group that includes a plurality of group members. When a JMX request is transmitted to a first member of a group comprising a plurality of group members, a determination is made if the first member is in an active state capable of processing the request. If the first member is not in an active state, the JMX request is forwarded to a currently active member of the plurality of members for processing the request. The invention thus permits users to communicate with the group via JMX without knowing which member of the group is active at any particular time.

摘要： The present invention provides apparatuses, systems, methods and kits for fastening sutures or similar devices used in medical surgical procedures. In particular, the present invention is suitable for use with percutaneous or minimally invasive procedures in which sutures are placed with catheter-based devices wherein the tying of knots is particularly challenging. Suture fasteners of the present invention provide for fastening the sutures together in a fixed position at any location along the suture strands. In addition, the fasteners are adjustable to allow repositioning of the fastener after placement to a new desired location along the suture strands. Similarly, such fasteners may be used to hold a single suture strand for various applications.

摘要： Under the present invention a node agent of a node in a cell will post state (event) information pertaining to the applications server(s) it controls to a messaging service such as a Highly Available (HA) messaging system (e.g., to bulletin board). Also, from the messaging service, the node agent will obtain the identities of other node agents running in the cell. Thereafter, the node agent can establish a direct communication link with those other node agents, and obtain state information pertaining to the application server(s) they control directly therefrom. Alternatively, the node agent can obtain state information for the other node agents directly from the bulletin board.

摘要： A method of caching contextually variant objects in a common cache. The method can include identifying an object type for a requested object and determining whether the requested object has an object type which is specified among an enumerated set of cacheable object types which can be stored in the common cache. Importantly, each cacheable object type can have an associated context. If the requested object has an object type which is specified among the enumerated set of cacheable object types, a cache key can be computed for the requested object using cache key formulation rules for the associated context. Finally, the requested object can be retrieved from the common cache using the formulated cache key. Notably, in one aspect of the invention, the method also can include the step of invalidating individual objects in the common cache according to corresponding cache policies of associated contexts.

The filter element is preferably biased toward the closed position and is opened by the coil when tension is released on the coil. 摘要： Certain designs of paper feeding devices used in copiers and printers require that an edge of a stack of sheets be in close contact with a slanted surface. An apparatus engages an opposite edge of the stack to urge the stack against the slanted surface, so that the stack assumes a parallelogram shape. The apparatus includes a plate which is movable from a vertical, upright position to a slanted position. Means are provided to cause the plate to move to the slanted position in response to the closing of a paper tray of a printer or copier.

摘要： A device access controller residing in a first computer system for transferring virtual inputs and outputs representing operations of the first system between the first system and a second system. The device access controller includes a video controller for performing video display operations, a video memory for storing video data representing operations of the first system, a network controller for transferring information between the first system and the second system, a controller processor, and a device access controller bus interconnecting the video controller, the network controller and the processor. A video interface is connected between the first system bus and the device access controller bus for receiving video information including video data and video write addresses from the first system bus and into the video memory and controller and the controller processor and network controller are responsive to the writing of video data into the video memory for reading the video information including the video data from the video memory and the video data write addresses from the video controller registers and transmitting the video information including the video data and the video data write addresses to the second system. The device access controller further includes a keyboard interface, a disk interface, and a serial interface operating in manners generally analogous to the video interface for corresponding communicating corresponding data between the first and second systems.
