An image forming device includes a developer bearing member, a photosensitive member, a developing-bias applying portion, a pressing-force adjusting portion, and a density adjusting portion. The photosensitive member is disposed in contact with the developer bearing member. An electrostatic latent image is formed on the photosensitive member and developed by the developer supplied from the developer bearing member for forming a developer image. The developing-bias applying portion applies a developing bias to the developer bearing member. The pressing-force adjusting portion adjusts the pressing force between the developer bearing member and the photosensitive member. The density adjusting portion controls both the developing-bias applying portion and the pressing-force adjusting portion to adjust, based on adjustment of both the developing bias and the pressing force, an amount of developer in the developer image developed on the photosensitive member, thereby adjusting density of a developer image on a recording medium.

The invention provides a female member for a face fastener. The female member has loops formed on a first surface of a web. The web has a heat-melt-adhering composite fiber body and is densely heat-melt-adhered together on a second surface. A female member is also provided having ridge-like webs. A method of producing the female member is also provided. A web of a heat-melt-adhering composite fiber body is entangled to form loops on the first surface of the web. After advanced heat-treatment, the second surface is heat-melt-adhered. A method of producing the female member by needling or water stream treating the web is also provided. An inexpensive female member for a fastener is produced suitable for disposable goods such as diapers, hospital clothings, underwears and the like.

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for automatically binding a silicon wafer to a carrier plate. In the binding method of the present invention, the wafer is positioned underneath the carrier plate and then lifted and bonded to the carrier plate, at or below atmospheric pressure: once this is accomplished the process returns to the previous pressure. In addition, in the apparatus which performs this process, by means of a carrier means which supplies the carrier plate and wafer to the location where binding is to be carried out, the binding surface of the carrier plate and wafer are turned upward, transported and the carrier plate is flipped around in the interval between the carrier plate transportation apparatus and the binding unit.
