摘要： One or more switches are interposed between a controller portion and a storage device. When transmission of a command to a certain storage device fails, a command is transmitted starting from an upstream side to a downstream side of a path between the controller portion and the switch to which the certain storage device is connected, and when command transmission fails while transmitting a command from a kth switch (k is an integer of 0 or more) which is connected to a (k+1)th switch and is one level upstream of the (k+1)th switch or from any port of the controller portion, it is determined that a failure has occurred in a power source that supplies power to the (k+1)th switch.

摘要： There is provided an optical disk apparatus causing a hologram device to diffract a reflected light beam and causes each of reflected light beams of primary light in a longitudinal direction to generate received light signals by receiving the reflected light beams through receiving regions of a receiving unit before a preformatted signal being generated by a signal processing unit based on the received light signals. Therefore, the preformatted signal that excludes an influence of a stray light pattern by an interlayer stray light beam from a plurality of recording layers can be generated.

摘要： Provided are a utilization apparatus, a server apparatus, and a key utilization system which enable the utilization apparatus to control deletion of the old key without using a secure clock and allow encrypted communications irrespective of whether the accessed server has updated its key or not. In key utilization system 1, one or more server apparatuses 5-1 to 5-n each provide service to an apparatus having an apparatus key corresponding with a server key. Update apparatus 2 distributes an update server key to each server apparatus and a new apparatus key to key utilization apparatus 3. CRL distribution apparatus 4 distributes to key utilization apparatus 3 a CRL indicating one or more server apparatuses which have completed key-updating. Key utilization apparatus 3 holds both the old and new apparatus key, judges whether the server apparatuses monitored using the CRL have completed key-updating, and if affirmative, deletes the old apparatus key.

摘要： The storage control device of the present invention detects faults on the disk drives at an early stage, thus enhancing convenience of use. The disk drives are switchingly connected to a subordinate communication control unit via a switching circuit. An error information collection unit of an error monitoring unit detects errors which have occurred at each port of the switching circuit. The errors which have been detected are stored in an intermediate storage unit, and are input via an error information notification unit to a fault recovery control unit of the subordinate communication control unit. By doing this, it is possible to immediately specify whether or not a fault has occurred on any of the disk drives, and to start a fault recovery procedure.

When operating normally, each of the normal power supply units supplies power via a normal path to each of the load groups. One redundant power supply unit is provided for a plurality of normal power supply units. When any of the normal power supply units fail, the redundant power supply unit continues to supply power to the load group via the redundant path. A diode for connecting the redundant path to the normal path is provided in each normal power supply unit and the redundant paths that are routed through the respective normal power supply units are connected so as to intersect one another between the normal power supply units.
