An example apparatus can include a first number of memory devices coupled to a host via a first number of ports and a second number of memory devices coupled to the first number of memory device via a second number of ports, wherein a first number of commands are executed to transfer data between the first number of memory devices and the host via the first number of ports and a second number of commands are executed to transfer data between the first number of memory device and the second number of memory device via the second number of ports.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for a memory device with an error correction memory device with fast data access are described. For example, during a read operation, a memory device may be configured to output the data indicated by the read operation concurrent with performing an error correction operation. If the memory device detects an error, the memory device may indicate the error to a host device and, in some cases, output the corrected data to the host device. During a write operation, the memory device may store error detection or correction information associated with data to be stored at the memory device. The memory device may, in some cases, store error detection or correction information generated by the host device.

摘要: A control method for error handling in a controller, storage medium therefor, controller, and storage device. The controller for use in a first device is capable of linking to a second device according to an interconnection protocol. The control method includes the following steps: handling a first error information by transmitting a negative acknowledgement control (NAC) message to the second device according to the interconnection protocol through the controller, wherein the first error information indicates a first error occurring while the controller performs data reception according to a protocol layer of the interconnection protocol; and setting error handling status data to indicate that error handling is asserted for the first error information so that the controller does not handle sequence number errors occurring after the first error until the error handling status data is set to indicate that the error handling is de-asserted.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a storage device includes a nonvolatile memory, controller and interface. The nonvolatile memory stores data. The controller controls the operation of the nonvolatile memory. The interface includes first and second input/output units that transmit and receive a signal with respect to a host device. The first and second input/output units are set on the first hierarchy having the same communication function. The interface issues a connection request to the first input/output unit and when the connection request to the first input/output unit is rejected, the interface issues the connection request to the second input/output unit.

When communications are restored, the media agent reports the relevant metadata to the storage manager such that the storage manager may seamlessly integrate the information into its management information infrastructure.

摘要: A computer system has a storage system including a first port and a second port, and a relay apparatus which couples the first port to an initiator apparatus. The storage apparatus stores relay apparatus information indicating a relay apparatus, and initiator information indicating an initiator apparatus. The storage apparatus establishes communications between the first port and a first relay apparatus, and based on communications with the relay apparatus recognizes the initiator apparatus with which the first relay apparatus has established communications. The storage apparatus also stores, in pathway information, a first pathway containing the first port, the first relay apparatus and the initiator apparatus. The storage apparatus creates a virtual port, which is a virtual port to which the first port is allocated, and when an initiator apparatus establishes communications with the virtual port, this apparatus adds a first virtual port associated pathway, in which the virtual port is associated with the first pathway, to the pathway information.

The first and second communication ports of the first and second control apparatuses are connected to each other via a communication cable. The second control apparatus performs the management processing when the second communication port is connected to the first communication port.
