The present invention is a method for forming a thin film containing a metal oxide as the main component on a substrate using a mixed gas stream containing a metal chloride, an oxidizing material, and hydrogen chloride, by a thermal decomposition method at a film deposition rate of 4500 nm/min. or greater, performing at least one selected from: 1) prior to mixing the metal chloride and the oxidizing material in the mixed gas stream, contacting hydrogen chloride with at least one selected from the metal chloride and the oxidizing material, and 2) forming a buffer layer in advance on a surface of the substrate on which the thin film containing a metal oxide as the main component is to be formed.

摘要： An 8-mm video tape recorder receives a main audio signal which is transmitted as a monaural or stereophonic audio signal, and an auxiliary audio signal (SAP) which is selectively transmitted with the main audio signal, and records the main audio signal as first and second audio signals. A SAP demodulator determines whether the auxiliary audio signal is transmitted or not. When the auxiliary audio signal is transmitted as determined by the SAP demodulator and recording of the auxiliary audio signal is indicated through a terminal by the user, selector switches are shifted to supply the auxiliary audio signal to a frequency demodulator which records the auxiliary audio signal as the first audio signal on an 8-mm magnetic video tape. The 8-mm video tape recorder can record video signals accompanied by audio signals at all times.

摘要： An alcohol concentration detecting apparatus comprising a transparent body (1,1a,1b,1c,1d) transparent to light and having a refraction surface (9) disposed, when in use, in contact with liquid fuel (12) to define an interface between the transparent body and the fuel, the transparent body (1) defining a light path (7,16) for allowing the light to pass through the refraction surface (9) for refracting the light (7). A light-emitting element (4) is disposed on one end of the light path and emitting a light beam (7,16) along the light path, and a position detector element (8) disposed at the other end of the light path for receiving a refracted light beam refracted at the refraction surface (9) and generating an output indicative of the amount of alcohol contained in the fuel. The sensor also comprises an optical lens (6;13,13a,13b,14,14a,14b) for directing and focusing the light beam (7,16) from the light-emitting element (4) onto the optical position detector element ( 8). The optical lens may include a collimator lens (13) for converting the light beam into a substantially parallel light beam (16), and a condenser lens (14) for focusing the parallel light beam on the position detector element (8).

摘要： A plurality of paint spray guns are directed substantially perpendicularly toward respective vertically divided surfaces of a side panel of a workpiece such as an automotive body. The paint spray guns are spaced in a direction in which the workpiece is delivered and being disposed at different heights, respectively. Paint sprays are ejected from the paint spray guns toward the workpiece which is being delivered in the direction. Simultaneously, the paint spray guns are displaced back and forth perpendicularly to the direction and substantially parallel to the surfaces of the side panel to coat the surface respectively with the paint spray guns, thereby coating the side panel.

摘要： A foamed polystyrene board useful as a thermal insulating material is produced by melting a polystyrene having a melt index of from 0.5 to 5 under heat in an extruder, mixing the molten mass with a blowing agent composed of methyl chloride and dichlorodifluoromethane, and extruding the resulting foamable molten gel from the extruder. As a novel essential feature, a flowability improver having a melting point higher than 70.degree. C., such as an aromatic sulfonamide, a brominated aromatic compound, a brominated alicyclic compound or a poly(.alpha.-methylstyrene), is mixed with the polystyrene within the extruder to impart superior extrusion formability. The foam has good dimensional stability both at room temperature and higher temperature, high mechanical strength and superior thermal insulation properties.
