摘要: A sales transaction terminal device includes an L-shaped terminal body 101 with an exhibition spot 122 opened to the customer side so that customers can take a look at a commodity sample 123 on a commodity table 101a. A body 203 of an operator display unit 204 is rotatably supported about a shaft 202 which is provided at an upper part of the operator side of the L-shaped terminal body 101. This arrangement makes it possible to optimize the angle of the operator display unit 204 according to the eye position of each operator.

摘要: The objective of the present invention is to provide an agent system in which it will not be necessary to respecify the destination and in which the dead time entails in specifying the destination will be minimized. Agent generating unit in the system agent generates mobile object with its attached routing list which indicates the object's destination. MPU converting unit converts agent to MPU code. Intermediate code converting unit changes to intermediate code, and outputs to the next communication device. In the communication device which received the agent, the MPU converting unit converts the agent to MPU code. Agent restoring unit restores the agent of MPU code to the original agent, and stores it in the memory area.

摘要: A rocking member is swingably supported on one opening side of a cylindrical case, and a knob is attached to the rocking member. The rocking member is provided with a rocking arm extending therefrom in the longitudinal direction of the case. The rocking arm has a tip section for engaging projections of a contact holder. The contact holder is moved in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the case by the swinging action of the rocking arm, thereby switching a plurality of circuits. As a result, the switch can be made compact and its structure can be simplified.

摘要: In apparatus for purifying waste water with activated sludge deposited on carrier particles, in which air is introduced into a treating tank for circulating the waste water and the carrier particles in the tank through an air lift, a separator is provided at an upper end of the tank for discharging purified water together with sludge peeled off from the particles thus leaving bared carrier particles in the tank for recirculation. A portion of the bottom of the tank is inclined to prevent precipitation of the activated carrier particles. The tank has a rectangular cross-sectional configuration to enable to arrange a number of tanks in a juxtaposed relation in series or parallel in a narrow floor space.

摘要: A text inputting device includes a keyboard for inputting a string of characters of a first kind by keying keys and a first device for displaying characters of a second kind corresponding to the character string supplied from the keyboard as candidate characters and selecting a desired character of the second kind from the candidate characters for supplying it to a processor. A second device is also provided for reading a character of the second kind corresponding to a mnemonic code in the character string supplied from the keyboard for supplying it to the processor. In order to determine whether the first or second device is used, a selection switch is provided for selectively activating the first or the second device when a character of the second type is to be inputted. Further, to assist in teaching the mnemonic code, when the first device is selected, either visual or oral correspondence is provided between the selected candidate character and its corresponding mnemonic code. The invention is particularly useful in inputting complex texts such as Japanese or other language texts.

摘要: A method and apparatus for selectively key-inputting a Kanji (Chinese and Japanese ideogram) in a Japanese sentence are disclosed. The operator keys-in a reading of a desired Kanji through a keyboard, and candidate Kanjis for that reading are displayed on a display screen so that the operator chooses a relevant Kanji for entry out of the displayed candidate Kanjis. In entering the reading of a Kanji, blocks which are in correspondence to character keys located in home positions of the keyboard and in the neighborhood thereof are displayed on the display screen and candidate Kanjis corresponding to the reading of the desired Kanji are displayed in the blocks. The operator then keys a character key corresponding to a relevant candidate Kanji displayed on the display screen.
