The invention provides a rotation-type changer of torches and nozzles for a laser beam machine having a movable table. The automatic tool changer 100 of a laser beam machine is equipped with a plurality of torch holders 160 and a nozzle changer 170 disposed on the magazine 150. The working head 40 moves in a Y-axis direction perpendicular to the paper plane and in a Z-axis direction. The torch holder 160 storing the torch to be exchanged is rotated along the Y-axis path line and the working head 40 is lowered to exchange the torch.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for fabricating a large sheet metal product having a three-dimensional shape such as a cover of a machine tool, without performing a welding process, and a product fabricated by the same. A cover unit 1 of a machine tool is fabricated by fixing to a circumference edge portion of a cover sheet 10 edge members 110, 120, 130, 210, 220, 230, 310 and 410 via fastening members such as bolts and nuts. The cover sheet 10 and each of the edge members are formed by nesting an expansion plan based on a three-dimensional solid model data of the cover unit 1 on a sheet metal material on a laser beam machine, and subjecting the same to laser processing. At this time, various information such as bend lines and bend angles required in the post process are marked off on each component via laser processing. The components having been subjected to high-precision laser processing are subjected to necessary bending process. The components are then assembled using fastening members to fabricate a large sheet metal product having a three-dimensional shape without performing a welding process.

The invention provides a device for detecting the position of a seam on a welded pipe in a three-dimensional laser beam machine for processing pipes. The three-dimensional laser beam machine has a chuck 62 for holding, rotating and axially moving a cylindrical pipe 400. A weld seam detection device 100 is equipped with a sensor head 110 provided on a laser processing main body 30. The sensor head 110 has a master lever 120 that moves along an inner wall surface 410 of the cylindrical pipe 400 and a sensor lever 140. When the cylindrical pipe 400 is rotated and the sensor lever 140 contacts the weld seam, the movement of the sensor lever 140 is detected by a micro switch 150, which sends a signal to an NC device 90 by which the weld seam position is recognized.

The invention provides a laser beam machine having a light path duct with improved dust proof property. A light path system 1 of a laser beam machine comprises a light path duct 10 having a U-shaped cross-section with the upper end opened, wherein the opening portion is covered by a steel belt 30. The laser beam extraction unit 50 traveling on the light path duct 10 in the direction of arrow A elevates the steel belt 30 and extracts the laser beam from the light path duct 10. The steel belt 30 has a guiding projection 32 disposed at the center thereof. The laser beam extraction unit 50 has a guide roller 64 disposed below the steel belt 30 and a guide roller 62 having a V-shaped groove 62a for engaging the projection on the steel belt 30, thereby preventing displacement of the steel belt.

A device for automatically selecting a beam mode by limiting an outer diameter size of a laser beam in a laser resonator of a laser processing machine is provided. A laser emitting device 100 emits a laser beam LB in a housing 110 to supply it through an output lens 130 to a processing torch 10. A device for automatically selecting a beam mode 200 is mounted in a direction which is perpendicular to a center axis of the laser beam LB, and has a diaphragm member 220 which is guided by a linear guide. A piston rod 244 is driven by a cylinder 240 mounted outside of a housing 210, and drives a permanent magnet 250 which has one polarity. A permanent magnet 230 which is mounted to the diaphragm member 220 and has the other polarity is driven in a noncontact manner, so that an openings 222 or 224 of the diaphragm member 220 is automatically selected.

A nozzle change magazine for laser beam machine which improves machining efficiency of a laser beam machine by installing a nozzle change magazine for laser machining tools equipped with a torch and a nozzle replaceably attached to the tip of the torch. A setup station for laser machining tools is installed outside a machining area of a laser beam machine. It includes a nozzle station which replaces a nozzle at the tip of the torch. The nozzle change station has a large number of magazines and changes the nozzle at the tip of the laser machining tool.

The invention provides a burr removal apparatus for laser beam machine which removes burrs formed on the top surface of a workpiece. When, for example, pilot holes PH are produced in a workpiece W by a laser machining tool 60, molten particles scatter to form whisker-like burrs Wb on the top surface of the workpiece. A whisker-like burr removal apparatus 700 has a machining head 710 which is raised and lowered by a cylinder 720. It removes the whisker-like burrs Wb with a machining tool 730.

A model producing means for modeling a chip model at an edge of a solid model of a nozzle through a predetermined space in a three-dimensional virtual space, and a trace machining propriety judging means for watching a state of an interference between the chip model and the solid model of a workpiece at the time of simulation of laser beam machining program and outputting a predetermined signal when releasing the state of the interference are provided. If an inconvenient instruction wherein the nozzle and the workpiece do not face each other is included in the laser beam machining program, the chip model departs from the solid model of the workpiece and the trace machining propriety judging means outputs a predetermined signal, through which program error can be properly detected with no visual observation of an operator.

A laser beam machine can make quality of machining almost constant in such a manner that a first reflecting means in a first beam guide portion is moved and driven so as to maintain a length of an optical path of laser beam to be almost constant in spite of a moved position of a machining head. According to the invention, a second reflecting means for catching laser beam in a second beam guide portion is located at a position facing the first reflecting means, thereby relatively shortening a length of the optical path between the first and second reflecting means and shortening the whole length of the optical path, and maintaining quality of machining with laser beam good.
