Abstract:
In layer systems according to prior art, the adhesion between the layers or between the layers and the substrate is often poor. In the inventive layer system, the surface of the interface between the layers is enlarged such that the connection and adhesion are improved.
Abstract:
Protective coatings known in the state of art can reveal either good corrosion resistance or good mechanical properties. An inventive protective coating resistant to corrosion at medium and high temperatures essentially consisting of the following elements (in percent by weight): 26 to 30% nickel, 20 to 28% chromium, 8 to 12% aluminium, 0.1 to 3% of at least one reactive element of the rare earths, cobalt balanced, reveals good corrosion resistance combined with good mechanical properties.
Abstract:
MCrAl layers according to prior art often display chipping of the thermally grown aluminum oxide layer (TGO) as a result of thermally induced stresses, which significantly reduces the oxidation behavior or the bonding behavior of ceramic heat insulating layers. An inventive MCrAl layer is designed in such a way that the TGO created thereon is microporous and thus allows expansion. The microporosity of the TGO is ensured by adding elements into the MCrAl layer in a targeted manner.
Abstract:
A metallic coating or alloy is provided. The metallic coating includes iron, cobalt, chromium, and aluminum. Tantalum may also be included. A new addition in nickel based coating with stabilized gamma/gamma′ phases at high temperatures lead to a reduction of local stresses. A component including the metallic coating or alloy is also provided.
Abstract:
Known protective layers having high Cr content and additional silicon form brittle phases, which additionally become brittle under the effect of carbon during use. The protective layer according to the invention comprises a two-part metal layer, which contains tantalum on the outside.
Abstract:
Known protective layers having a high Cr-content and a silicone in addition, form brittle phases that embrittle further under the influence of carbon during use. The protective layer according to the invention is composed of 22% to 26% cobalt (Co), 10.5% to 12% aluminum (Al), 0.2% to 0.4% Yttrium (Y) and/or at least one equivalent metal from the group comprising Scandium and the rare earth elements, 15% to 16% chrome (Cr), optionally 0.3% to 1.5% tantal, the remainder nickel (Ni).
Abstract:
A gas turbine system includes a compressor; a combustion chamber; a gas turbine; and an evaporative cooler. The evaporative cooler includes a plurality of cooling elements, a flow channel, and a feed device. The plurality of cooling elements are arranged in the flow channel. The feed device supplies a liquid to the plurality of cooling elements. The liquid is evaporated or vaporized. Each of the plurality of cooling elements is a flat cooling sheet, a surface of the cooling sheet having hydrophilic properties at least in a subregion which is specified for forming a liquid film. The evaporative cooler is connected ahead of the compressor on an intake side.
Abstract:
An alloy to a protective layer for protecting a component against corrosion and/or oxidation, in particular at high temperatures is proposed. Known protective layers with a high Cr content and in addition silicon form brittle phases which additionally embrittle during use under the influence of carbon. The proposed protective layer has the composition of from 24% to 26% cobalt, from 10% to 12% aluminum, from 0.2% to 0.5% yttrium, from 12% to 14% chromium, from 0.3% to 5.0% tantalum, nickel.
Abstract:
Known protective layers having a high chromium content, as well as silicon, have brittle phases that become additionally brittle under the influence of carbon during use. A protective layer including the composition of 18% to 20% cobalt, 6% to 8% aluminum, 0.5% to 0.7% yttrium, 22% to 26% chromium, and the remainder nickel is provided.
Abstract:
Known protective layers having a high Cr content, as well as silicon, have brittle phases that become additionally brittle under the influence of carbon during use. A protective layer that has the composition of 32% to 35% cobalt, 10% to 13% aluminum, 0.1% to 0.3% yttrium, and/or at least one equivalent metal from the group comprising scandium and the rate earth elements, 31% to 35% chromium, 0.1% to 0.5% silicon and the remainder nickel is provided.
