Abstract:
A suction device for a disc filter includes at least one suction bar per discoid filter body and a suction slit designed for suctioning the impurities of the filter cloth, as well as a suction pump for suctioning the impurities. The suction bar is movable radially from the axis of rotation of the disc filter.
Abstract:
An incised surface is formed in one surface of a suction plate on the basis of a slit and a pattern roller is placed in a room, which is provided at a thickness part of the slit in which the incised surface is formed, to rotate in place so that the pattern roller partially protrudes outward from the incised surface and forms patterns on a surface of fleeces which are backwashed while passing through the slit so as to increase a filtration area of the fleeces. The backwash may be performed and the filtration area of the fleeces may be increased using the room. The spline-shaped patterns including splines cut to a certain length, patterns including several annular protrusions formed on an outer circumference of the pattern roller, spline-shaped patterns formed on the outer circumference, lattice-shaped patterns, and the like may be formed on a surface of the pattern roller.
Abstract:
A debris filter has a housing, a filter screen mounted to the housing and disposed so as to extend across a flow path through the housing, a debris extractor mounted to the housing, and a splitter bar also mounted to the housing. The debris extractor and the filter screen are so mounted to the housing as to enable rotation of the filter screen and the debris extractor relative to one another. The debris extractor has a debris intake opening and the debris extractor and the splitter bar are so mounted to the housing that the intake opening is positionable adjacent to or in juxtaposition with the splitter bar with the splitter bar overlapping and shielding the intake opening.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a filtering apparatus for treating ballast water. The apparatus is constructed so that a housing cover plate and an exhaust unit are removably coupled to each other at an upper position of a housing. The exhaust unit includes a base flange on a portion thereof coupled to the housing cover plate and the base flange includes a projecting step that projects to be inserted into a core through hole formed in the housing cover plate. A core serving as a discharge passage of foreign substances includes a shaft coupling unit on a portion thereof coupled to the driving shaft, and is coupled at the shaft coupling unit to the driving shaft via a coupling structure. The outer diameters of the coupling structure and the shaft coupling unit are formed to be smaller than the outer diameter of the core.
Abstract:
A device for filtering for treating ballast water by way of a filtering method, and more particularly, to a compact and operability-enhancing multicage-type device for filtering ballast water, which distributes a lower portion of the device for filtering a discharge portion for discharging foreign substances after backwashing a filter and a backwash line, among features that are concentrated at an upper portion of the device for filtering, and communicates discharge tubes of each filtering unit in a single line, by considering the unique installation environment of the device for filtering that is coupled to a ship, thereby simplifying structure, reducing space required for installing the device for filtering in the upper portion of the device for filtering, allowing efficient maintenance by integrating foreign substance discharge and back pressure maintenance of each of the filtering units.
Abstract:
A device for filtering for treating ballast water and more particularly, to a multicage-type device for filtering ballast water to prevent back pressure, wherein the multicage-type device for filtering ballast water includes a back pressure prevention tank on a backwash line for backwashing and discharging foreign substances that are inside a filter of the device for filtering, so that backwash water and the foreign substances in the backwash line are preliminarily stored in the back pressure prevention tank thereby preventing increase of back pressure, prevents increase of the back pressure on the backwash line by always maintaining level of water inside the back pressure prevention tank at lower than an inlet port that is connected to the backwash line, and always maintains the level of water at lower than a specific level by artificially discharging the backwash water that is stored inside the tank.
Abstract:
A fluid pressure vessel has a filter cartridge with spaced headers positioning cylindrical pleated filter media. The headers form an inlet chamber communicating with the inlet upstream side of the filter media and an isolated outlet chamber communicating with the downstream side of the filter media. A hollow piston with a toothed periphery having a circumferential slot is positioned closely adjacent the upstream side of the filter media. The piston hollow communicates with a drain chamber isolated from the inlet and outlet chambers. Upon opening of the drain chamber to atmospheric pressure, the pressure in the piston hollow and slot causes a lower pressure in a localized area of the media and back flushing of trapped material on the upstream side of the media to the drain chamber. An actuator is connected to selectively progressively move the piston and slot along the entire surface of the media.
Abstract:
A filtering system that may include a backwashing unit that is arranged to clean the filter when the filtering system operates in a backwashing mode; a first pipe that is couples the first auxiliary input to a first auxiliary output of the at least one auxiliary outputs; a second pipe that couples the second auxiliary input to a second auxiliary output of the at least one auxiliary output; wherein at least one of the first and second pipe comprises an external portion that is external to the input chamber, the intermediate chamber and the backwash chamber; wherein when the filtering system operates at the backwash mode, the backwash chamber maintains a backwash pressure that is lower than (a) an input chamber pressure that is maintained in the input chamber, and (b) an intermediate chamber pressure that is maintained within the filter.
Abstract:
An apparatus for filtering liquid that includes a filter having an external surface; a rotatable shaft extending through the filter; and a movable member coupled to the rotatable shaft. The movable member is configured to impart a suction force at various locations across the external surface of the filter. The movable member has a trailing portion that extends further than the leading portion in the direction toward the filter.
