    Abstract: A filter arrangement has two hollow, coaxial, cylindrical filter elements, one of which is closed at one end and the other of which is connected to a clean fluid outlet. The outsides of the filter elements are separated from each other by an intermediate ring. A three-way valve is operable by an operating member to connect an inlet for the raw fluid to either or both of first and second filter elements. A control member operates valves for opening and closing an outlet for dirty fluid is operated at the same time with the three-way valve, dependent on its position. Both filter elements can be used simultaneously for filtering and also flow can be reversed through either filter element.

    Abstract: A method of supplying a processing solution includes shutting off a feed line supplying the processing solution to a chemical filter, installing a dry chemical filter in a filter housing of the chemical filter, closing an output line from the filter housing to a nozzle configured to dispense the processing solution (either before or after installing the dry chemical filter), applying a vacuum to the filter housing while the feed line remains shut, and opening the feed line while locking in the vacuum within the filter housing. Shutting off the feed line and closing the output line may be accomplished by closing respective valves. Before installing the dry filter, a valve to the vacuum may be closed. The method may be performed by a processor executing a program stored in a non-transitory computer-readable medium.

    Abstract: A system includes an assembly with a filter, a pipe and a connector. The filter includes a housing and a cartridge situated within the housing. The pipe feeds water to a water dispersing arrangement via an inlet pipe channel extending therethrough from upstream to downstream ends. The connector includes a spout having a spout outlet channel couplable to an upstream portion of the inlet pipe channel and a spout inlet channel couplable to a downstream portion of the inlet pipe channel. The filter is attachable to the pipe via the connector. When the assembly is in Active configuration, water from the upstream portion passes through the spout outlet channel, the cartridge, the spout inlet channel and into the downstream portion. When the assembly is in Bypass configuration, water from the upstream portion passes into a bypass channel to exit the assembly without passing through the cartridge.

    Abstract: A magnetic particle carrier fluid recovery system includes at least one filter and a fluorescence reducer in fluid communication with contaminated magnetic particle carrier fluid. The filter(s) removes particulate matter less than 1 micron in size. The fluorescence reducer removes soluble fluorescent compounds from the carrier fluid causing background fluorescence contamination. A pump circulates the carrier fluid from a reservoir of contaminated fluid, through the system, and back to the reservoir. A cleaning loop runs the carrier fluid through the filter(s) and fluorescence reducer to remove contaminants to levels acceptable for new magnetic particle carrier fluid. A testing loop may be included that bypasses the filter(s) and fluorescence reducer. A valve may be actuated to toggle between the testing loop and cleaning loop for selective cleaning or use of the carrier fluid for MPI testing. The system may be integrated with an MPI station or may be independent and mobile.
