Abstract:
A multi-region twin-shaft cutting system for chopping material, comprising: two shafts which are arranged substantially parallel and are driven in an opposed manner, wherein each shaft is in each case surrounded by a roll body; a multiplicity of supporting elements, wherein each supporting element is fitted substantially radially around the roll body, wherein each supporting element preferably has a shaft-shaped, symmetrical or asymmetrical circumferential line; a multiplicity of severing elements which are, in particular, of disc- and/or plate-like design and are each fitted symmetrically or asymmetrically substantially tangentially to the circumferential region of the supporting elements; wherein the supporting elements are arranged at a distance around the roll bodies in such a manner that in each case one severing element on one supporting element of the one shaft can engage between two directly adjacent supporting elements of the other shaft; wherein, for each shaft, mating severing elements are fitted in each case between two directly adjacent supporting elements of said shaft, on the roll body of the shaft, said mating severing elements being fitted in a corresponding manner to the severing elements of the other shaft such that the severing elements of the other shaft, on opposed engagement in the intermediate space between the two directly adjacent supporting elements of the one shaft, at least partially operate counter to the corresponding mating severing elements, in particular in a cutting and/or breaking manner, such that the material is chopped.
Abstract:
A mobile polystyrene foam waste recycling method and system are disclosed. The system includes a mobile housing or mobile container that houses a polystyrene foam densifying machine. The foam densifying machine reduces the size of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and PS polystyrene material into a marketable product. The mobile container includes secure access doors, electrical connections, lighting, exhaust fans, and storage bins for EPS waste. The waste recycling system provides a mobile outdoor or indoor recycling facility and collection center where EPS/PS may be recycled instead of being sent to a landfill.
Abstract:
An under-sink disposal unit includes a motor, a disposal chamber, and a disposal throat. The disposal throat extends from the disposal chamber to an opening in a top of the disposal unit and defines a passageway through which objects pass into the disposal chamber for grinding. The disposal unit further includes a coil assembly including an arrangement of coils. The arrangement of coils is used to detect the passing of a metallic object in the passageway through the disposal throat. Furthermore, the arrangement of coils includes at least one coil having a loop that is oriented with respect to an axis of the passageway through the disposal throat such that objects passing through the disposal throat into the disposal chamber pass by and proximate to, but do not pass through, such loop. Preferably DC injection braking is used to stop the motor upon detection of a metallic object.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes: a disposal unit; a control unit configured to stop operation of the disposal unit; and a metal detector coil and associated circuitry, the metal detector coil located such that waste passing into the disposal unit for shredding passes through the metal detector coil. The control unit is triggered to stop operation of the disposal unit upon the detection of metal passing through the metal detector coil.
Abstract:
A method for producing a machine casing of a shredding device includes providing component parts and/or assembly groups of the machine casing of the shredding device. Retaining ring bolts are provided, and at least some of the component parts and/or assembly groups of the machine casing are connected to each other through use of the retaining bolt rings.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a food garbage disposer including: a reaction vessel which includes a hopper into which food garbage is introduced, a heating tank filed with heat-medium oil to heat the hopper, and at least one heater to heat the heat-medium oil in the hopper; an automatic filter which includes an automatic injection nozzle and filters vapor discharged from the reaction vessel; a condenser which condenses the vapor passed through the automatic filter and separate the vapor into condensed water and air; a condensed-water purifier which purifies the condensed water produced by the condenser and supplies the purified water to the automatic injection nozzle of the automatic filter; a deodorizer which purifies and deodorizes the air produced by the condenser; and an air circulation adjuster which mixes the air passed through the deodorizer with external air and reintroduces the mixed water into the reaction vessel. With this configuration, the food garbage disposer is improved in not only preventing an offensive odor from generating since the condensed water produced in the condenser is utilized for filtering the vapor discharged out of the reaction vessel, but also automating a full operation thereof since temperature of the reaction vessel is automatically controlled to facilitate drying and decomposition of the food garbage.
Abstract:
The garbage processing recycler includes a series of top compartments aligned above a series of bottom compartments. A hydraulic cylinder is concentrically aligned with the top compartments to provide a compressor function attributed with opposing compressor plates that can descend into opposing top compartments to compress recyclable materials contained therein. After compression, a support base is removed and the recyclables are shredded upon passing through a screen via the same hydraulic cylinder and compressor plate, and thereafter the compressed and shredded recyclable material descends below to the respective bottom compartment.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a machine casing of a shredding device, comprising the steps of providing component parts and/or assembly groups of the machine casing of the shredding device; providing retaining ring bots; and connecting at least some of the component parts and/or assembly groups of the machine casing to each other by means of the retaining bolt rings.

Abstract:
A method of treating municipal solid waste comprising the steps of: shredding the waste to a first particle size,—storing the shredded waste in an aerated storage bay (14) for a first period time; shredding at least some of the waste to a second particle size,—and agitating the shredded waste in a rotating drum (19) for a second period of time and then outputting the treated waste; wherein biological decomposition under aerobic conditions takes place in the aerated storage bay and the rotating drum.
