Abstract:
The invention provides a composition and method for obtaining both light and dark laser marks of varying shades and intensities on a single plastic article by selectively controlling laser parameters. The invention further provides compositions and methods for obtaining pre-selected one-color and multi-colored designs on plastic articles, by selectively controlling material formulations and laser parameter settings.
Abstract:
A full-color heat-sensitive recording material. At least a heat-sensitive recording layer that color-develops to yellow color; a heat-sensitive recording layer that color-develops to cyan color and a heat-sensitive recording layer that color-develops to magenta color are sequentially provided on a support in this order from the support side. All of the above-mentioned heat-sensitive recording layers contain a diazo compound and/or diazonium salt, and a coupler compound that reacts with the diazo compound and/or diazonium salt for color development.
Abstract:
In forming a color image, a covering device is placed upon a color area having a plurality of colors regularly arranged. The color area is light reflective and s formed of stripes. The covering device is formed of strips whose phase substantially matches the stripes of the color area and printed on the color area. A color is presented by a color mixture of colors not covered by the covering device in the color area, wherein the color mixture is a subtractive color mixture.
Abstract:
Marks having clearly divided plural colors can be formed on a resin molded piece at low cost. A resin molded piece with marks having clearly divided plural colors is obtained. A resin molded piece is formed by combining plural base materials molded and processed by using a mixture of resins and fillers changing in different colors by irradiation with energy ray, and the surface of this resin molded piece is irradiated with energy ray to mark the irradiated positions with plural colors, and forming a marked resin molded piece. Preferably, the resin molded piece is a keytop of keyboard used in an electronic appliance.
Abstract:
In a color image-forming medium, a substrate is coated with a color-developing layer which is composed of at least one kind of heat-sensitive color-developing component, and a plurality of pressure-sensitive microcapsules. Each of the pressure-sensitive microcapsules is filled with a dye exhibiting a first single-color, and features a pressure/temperature characteristic to be broken when being subjected to a predetermined pressure within a first temperature range. The heat-sensitive color-developing component features a thermal color-developing characteristic to develop a second single color within a second temperature range defined by a first critical temperature and a second temperature. The first critical temperature is in the first temperature range, and the second critical temperature exceeds an upper limit temperature of the first temperature range.
Abstract:
The present invention uses a thermal transfer film in combination with a thermally sensitive color developing paper. The hue of the thermal transfer ink layer or the hue of the developed color of the color developing paper can be recorded on the color developing paper when the applied energy is low, and a plurality of colors can be recorded on the color developing paper by color mixture of the transfer from the thermal transfer ink layer and the developed color of the color developing paper when the applied energy is high.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a color thermosensitive printer which has a thermal head mounted on a carriage to scan the thermal head in opposite directions across a width of a color thermosensitive recording the recording paper. Yellow and magenta fixing members have linear tube lamps that are disposed across the width of the recording paper along the scanning directions of the thermal head. First and second exposure openings are formed through the carriage before and behind the thermal head with respect to a forward scanning direction. As the carriage moves in the forward scanning direction, the thermal head records yellow pixels on a yellow thermosensitive color layer of the recording paper, and the yellow fixing rays are projected onto the recording paper through the second exposure opening that follows behind the thermal head in the forward scanning direction. As the carriage moves in the reverse scanning direction, the thermal head records magenta pixels on a magenta thermosensitive color layer of the recording paper, and the magenta fixing rays are projected onto the recording paper through the first exposure opening that follows behind the thermal head in the reverse scanning direction.
Abstract:
Provided is an electron donating dye precursor represented by the following formula (1), (2), (3) or (4) as defined in the specification which each singly develops two colors upon color forming reaction with one kind of an electron accepting color developer depending on change in the heat energy applied. Furthermore, a heat-sensitive recording material comprising a support and a recording layer containing said electron donating dye precursor and an electron accepting color developer is provided. Moreover, a method for heat sensitive recording of multi-color images using said heat-sensitive recording material is provided. ##STR1##
Abstract:
A method and substrate for printing information wherein at least one coating is applied to a substrate, the coating having a colorformer leucodye and at least one color activator. The colorformer leucodye and at least one activator react when heated to exhibit a chromic change of at least one of a color change visible in normal light and a fluorescence visible only in ultraviolet light. The at least one coating is heated with at least one laser beam to effect the chromic change at selected points to thereby print information.
Abstract:
This invention relates to film which is lettered with a laser beam comprising at least one protective film which is transparent to the laser beam, at least one opaque layer which is ablated by the laser beam, and at least one contrast-forming layer on its bottom. The abatable layer is preferably a metallic layer and can have a color like the contrast-forming layer. The color of the metallic layer is different from the color of the contrast-forming layer. The contrast-forming layer is either applied, imprinted or varnished onto the metallic layer. The contrast-forming layer can be at least one plastic film. On a side of the contrast-forming layer facing away from the metallic layer there is an adhesive layer which is covered with a carrier material, for example, an adhesive-repellant carrier film.
