A tire air pressure detecting device includes an air pressure detecting unit, a transmitting unit, a running state detecting unit, an air pressure change rate detecting section and a frequency adjustment section. The frequency adjustment section is configured to adjust a transmitting frequency at which the detected value of the tire air pressure detected by the air pressure detecting unit is externally transmitted by the transmitting unit according to the running state detected by the running state detecting unit and the air pressure change rate detected by the air pressure change rate detecting section. The frequency adjustment section is further configured to variably set a threshold value for switching the transmitting frequency from low frequency to high frequency according to the running state and the air pressure change rate.

A tire pressure assembly assembly includes a tire pressure sensor for automobile vehicle wheels and a microprocessor for pressure measurement and for control of a radio transmission circuit. The sensor has a module for activating the microprocessor associated with an activation control timer. The timer is programmable and the assembly includes means for programming the timer.

A duplex Bluetooth transmission tire pressure system and a method thereof are provided. The system includes a Bluetooth tire pressure detector and a transceiver host, and the two can duplex Bluetooth transmit to each other, so that to complete locating and tire condition detecting. The transceiver host controls a locating program that controls the Bluetooth tire pressure detector to start or stop and limit the transmitting packet of the tire condition program of the Bluetooth tire pressure detector.

A tire pressure sensor device (122) for a wheel (112) of an aircraft (102) including a pressure sensor (124) for measuring the internal pressure of a tire, a temperature sensor (126) for measuring a temperature local to the tire (116), a memory unit (131) local to the tire for storing data, and a control unit (128) local to the tire arranged to record in the memory unit (131) data of the readings taken at intervals of time. The data recorded for each reading includes an indication of the time of the reading, the tire pressure and the temperature local to the tire. Measurements may be taken and recorded over time, both when the aircraft is on the ground and when the aircraft is in flight. Data may be uploaded to a portable handheld device (140) for analysis when maintaining the tires in their correctly inflated state.

The pressure module is configured to provide information related to a pressure of a tire in a vehicle, comprises a pressure determiner configured to determine the information related to the pressure of the tire, and further comprises a transceiver configured to wirelessly receive information related to an instruction to provide the information related to the pressure of the tire and to wirelessly transmit the information related to the tire pressure. The transceiver is configured to wirelessly transmit and receive in the same frequency band. A power efficient direct Tire Pressure Monitoring System, TPMS, for providing a non-continuous tire pressure monitoring of a tire of a vehicle, such as a automobile vehicle, the TPMS comprising: a processing unit having at least a first operating mode and a second operating mode; a timing unit; an acceleration measuring unit; a comparing unit; a pressure measuring unit; a transmitting unit; and, a power supplying unit for supplying power to the processing unit in the first and second operating modes wherein the latter mode is less power consuming than the former mode, wherein the processing unit is adapted to: enter the second operating mode after an acceleration threshold and an operating clock frequency have been set; and, enter the first operating mode responsive to a first trigger signal. A tire pressure monitor sensor is disclosed. The sensor includes a wireless transmitter and a processing unit. The processing unit provides a time trigger signal within a measurement period and triggers a wireless transmission of a reference signal indicating an occurrence of the time trigger signal to a remote unit. The tire pressure monitor sensor is configured to derive, based on a plurality of acceleration measurement samples within the measurement period, information indicting at least one rotation property of a tire. The tire pressure monitor sensor is further configured to wirelessly transmit the derived information to a remote unit separate from the reference signal.

A tire pressure monitoring device according to an aspect of the present invention includes a first sensing unit sensing a pressure of a tire, a second sensing unit detecting whether a vehicle is driving by sensing at least one of acceleration, motion, and shock, and a calculation unit transmitting, to an integrated system of the vehicle, pressure information of the tire at a first data transfer rate corresponding to a data transfer rate of a body control module or a smart key system when the second sensing unit detects that the vehicle is not driving.

A method for operating a tire pressure monitoring unit for monitoring pneumatic tires of a vehicle includes where a pressure measurement is taken at regular intervals using a pressure sensor and the pressure information is transmitted wirelessly at larger intervals by a transmitter. A control unit checks whether a pressure change exceeding a threshold value has occurred, and, if so, pressure measurements are taken at shortened intervals and the transmission activity is increased. The control unit uses a first threshold value for the pressure change in the case of a stationary vehicle and uses a second threshold value, which differs from the first threshold value, for the pressure change in the case of a moving vehicle. The control unit, by evaluating a signal of an acceleration sensor of the tire pressure monitoring unit, establishes whether the first threshold value or the second threshold value is used.
