    摘要： The object of the invention is to provide a novel padlock, which can be used like a normal padlock and also in objects and situations, for which known padlocks are not suitable. A padlock according to the invention comprises two bodies (1, 3), between which is a shackle portion (2). The shackle portion consists of two pins (2A, 2B). Both bodies are to be locked into the shackle portion. The locking of the padlock can be opened and also locked with the key of one or the other of the bodies. In this case, one key can be a key that is normally in use and the other key is less often used.

    摘要： A locking apparatus includes a fixed housing with a longitudinal elongated bore between two open ends. One end defines an arcuate track with a new rotational displacement range. A pivoting riser extends from a driver to an elongated retainer moving across a locking core configured with a predefined rotational range. A follower on the driver travels within the track. The core and the driver may be connected and inserted via the same open end for rotation within the bore. When the locking core is unlocked and rotated with an operating key, the riser displaces the retainer to retain the core within the housing, while the follower continues to rotate within the track so that the rotational range of the core is changed to the new rotational displacement range. The apparatus may include the core. The apparatus may exclude the core to allow separate installation for combined rotation with the driver.

Also, or separate therefrom, one or more tumbler holes may be formed or drilled in a manner so as to prevent engagement of a tumbler with the bite of a key. Presently disclosed structures and associated methodology help to reduce any susceptibility to unauthorized techniques practiced against the lock, such as unintentional activation of the tumblers by unauthorized persons through use of a key with so-called “bumping” techniques.

    摘要： A lock system is provided for vehicles and the like of the type having at least one closure. A lock housing is mounted adjacent the closure, and includes a lock barrel with an axial tumbler groove, a positioner shoulder adjacent an outer portion of the barrel and a keeper shoulder adjacent an inner portion of the barrel. A lock plug is closely received in the barrel for rotation between locked and unlocked positions, and includes a keyway and outwardly biased, radially shifting tumblers. A control key is inserted into the keyway to retract all of the tumblers except a positioner tumbler that engages the positioner shoulder to locate the lock plug in a first axial position in the barrel. When the control key is removed, an outer keeper tumbler is biased outwardly for abutting contact with the keeper shoulder. A dealer key is inserted into the keyway to retract all of the tumblers except the positioner and outer keeper tumblers to permit rotation of the plug between the locked and unlocked positions. A customer key is inserted into the keyway to retract all of the tumblers except the outer keeper tumbler, and shift the plug axially into a second axial position in the barrel, wherein an inner keeper tumbler is biased outwardly for abutting contact with the keeper shoulder, and the positioner tumbler is shifted into the tumbler groove to prevent rotation of the plug by the dealer key to provide customer security.

    摘要： A high security lock includes a housing defining an interior chamber having a longitudinal chamber axis and a keyway axially through the housing into the chamber. A cam arrangement within the chamber defines an access in axial alignment with the keyway. The cam arrangement includes a plurality of stationary raceway cams arranged in parallel planes and concentric to the chamber axis. Each raceway cam has a radially-inward surface forming a bearing raceway. The cam arrangement further includes at least one stationary locking cam arranged in a plane parallel to the raceway cams and concentric to the chamber axis. The locking cam has no such bearing raceway. A tumbler assembly is disposed within the chamber and cooperates with the cam arrangement for selective rotational movement within the access about the chamber axis. The tumbler assembly includes a plurality of bearing elements supported for axial movement relative to the cam arrangement. A key is insertable into the keyway and has a plurality of shoulders adapted for engaging and moving the plurality of bearing elements axially from an inoperative disposition to an operative disposition. A locking member is mounted to the housing for movement between a retained position engaged by the tumbler assembly when in its locked disposition, and a released position disengaged by the tumbler assembly when in its unlocked disposition.
