Abstract: An electronic lockbox uses a rotary actuator with multiple positions to achieve multiple locking states. Multiple positions of the actuator are detected, using optical sensors. The locking mechanism includes an outer sleeve and an inner cylindrical barrel that are coupled with torsion springs. The lockbox has a shackle and a key bin that are retained by the inner barrel when in the locked state, and the barrel can be rotated to either release the shackle or to release the key bin that typically holds a building's key.

Abstract: A lock includes a housing having a plurality of apertures receiving buttons. A biasing member biases each button towards an un-pressed position. A plurality of spools includes circumferential grooves. Each circumferential groove has a notch that is angularly displaced relative to each of the other notches on that spool. A plurality of legs is in communication with one of the buttons and contacts one of the circumferential grooves. A locking plate includes apertures receiving the spools. An actuator is associated with the locking plate and a latch. Pressing and releasing the buttons causes translation of the spool rotationally orienting a notch to be adjacent to the locking plate. The locking plate only moves into an unlocked position, when driven by the actuator disengaging the latch and unlocking the lock if all of the notches which are adjacent to the locking plate are in a unlocked rotational orientation.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for maintaining security and data gathering for a number of vehicles. The systems include a vehicle activity module for each of the vehicles. The vehicle activity module has a wireless transmitter, a storage device, at least one sensor for receiving event information from identification devices, such as RFID cards, keypads, magnetic ID cards, and the like, a releasable key container, and a processor for accessing and analyzing information. The VAMs are wirelessly connected to a computer system. The VAMs control access to the keys, monitor information relating to access, and store and transmit information relating to sales events, non-sales events, and intrusion events. The VAMs are capable of autonomous operation, without the need to access the computer system to verify event information. The VAMs further include signal attenuating mechanisms to facilitate use of “smart keys.”

Abstract: An electronically addressable object carrier for enabling the management of removably suspended objects, such as keys, distributed in an object location space, The object carrier includes a housing having an object retention element for securing an object to the object carrier and a lock element for releasable engagement with an associated locking device, the microcontroller having a unique object address serving to identify an object secured to the object carrier; a plurality of electrically conductive contact pads in the housing for electrically coupling the microcontroller to a source of object address signals and electrical power signals and a visible indicator coupled to the microcontroller for activation whenever the microcontroller receives an address signal representative of the unique object address. The lock element is a recess formed in a surface of the housing with an abutment edge. The associated locking device is a solenoid having a retractable plunger terminating in a control element which engages the recess. The locking device is mounted adjacent a mounting aperture in a support element, such as a cabinet interior wall. In use, the carrier is inserted into the wall aperture until the control element engages the housing recess, which locks the carrier in place. To unlock, the solenoid is operated to retract the plunger to release the carrier for manual removal.

Abstract: A key safe (1) to be attached to a mounting surface has a wall element (4), which can be fixed on the mounting surface and onto which at least one key can be fastened, a housing part (13), by means of which the wall element (4) and optionally the at least one key can be covered, and a combination lock (2), by means of which the wall element (4) and the housing part (13) can be locked to one another when the key safe (1) is closed. In order to make a key safe (1) of this type more mechanically stable and actuatable in a more simple way with a comparatively low technical and constructive effort, it is proposed in the present invention that the housing part (13) is configured to be round on its edge (14) allocated to the wall element (4), that the housing part (13) can be rotated relative to the wall element (4) when the key code is set on the combination lock (2), and that the housing part (13) can be removed from the wall element (4) after a rotation about a prcdcterminablc angle of rotation relative to the wall element (4).

Abstract: In an interlock system, locking of a second locking mechanism is enabled only when a first key holding part holds a first key and a control device is in a state in which a residual voltage of the control device is not discharged. Application of a power supply voltage to the control device is enabled by switching of a ground switch only when a second key holding part holds a second key. Removal of the second key from the second key holding part is enabled only when the ground switch is in the grounded position and the control device is in a grounded state. Removal of the first key from the first key holding part is enabled only when the control device is in a state in which residual voltage is discharged.

Abstract: A lockbox is disclosed having a base that includes a first engagement structure and a cover that includes a second engagement structure that slidingly engages with the first engagement structure. The lockbox may further include a locking mechanism configured to secure the cover to the base. The base and the cover may define an enclosed volume when the cover is secured to the base and the first and second engagement structures may be located substantially within the enclosed volume. The first and second engagement structures may permit movement of the cover relative to the base in only a single direction when engaged. One of the first and second engagement structures may be at least one groove and the other one of the first and second engagement structures may be at least one rail.

Abstract: A lock box is provided including a base plate. A back cover is mounted to the base plate and includes a first internal compartment. A first end of a connector is mounted within the first internal compartment and a second end of the connector, including an inlet, is selectively retained within the first internal compartment. A retention mechanism is configured to rotate between an unlatched and a latched position to selectively retain the second end of the connector. A front cover coupled to the base plate is movable between a closed and open position.
