摘要: A gear has a hub with cut-off portions and outer splines as one unit. Thrust pieces are inserted in the cut-off portions for transmitting thrust between a shift sleeve and a synchronizer ring. The gear has a flange portion formed with supporting holes corresponding to the cut-off portions provided with a force-amplifying slope at synchronized member sides thereof. First end portions of the thrust pieces are inserted in the supporting holes. Second end portions thereof are formed with a side end surface for receiving friction torque from the synchronizer ring and with a pressure-receiving slope for transmitting the friction torque to the force-amplifying slope. The thrust pieces swing around centers in the supporting holes so that the second end portions swing in a rotational direction to contact the pressure-receiving slopes with the force-amplifying slopes to change the friction torque to the thrust acting on the synchronizer ring.

摘要: A synchronizing arrangement in a planetary gear (1) has an axially movable ring gear (22) which for various gearchange positions can be coupled to either of two coupling rings (9, 16), situated on their respective sides of the planetary gear (1), via synchronising rings (14, 20) which belong to these coupling rings, are capable of limited rotation relative to the ring gear and have external locking teeth (30, 31) to prevent gear engagement before synchronisation is achieved. The ring gear (22) is provided with two grooves (26, 27) which run round its inside and each accommodate a ring-shaped locking device (28) for transferring axial force to the respective synchronising ring at the time of gear engagement. The respective locking device is also situated in an external groove (32, 33) in the relating synchronising ring and can be compressed in the radial direction.

摘要: A booster mechanism is interposed between a hub of a Warner type synchronizing apparatus and a synchronizing ring to boost and transmit a pressure force caused by the movement of a coupling sleeve to a speed change gear side. There is also provided a rearward synchronizing mechanism for stopping the rotation of a drive shaft in such a manner that when the rearward synchronizing mechanism receives a pressure force caused by the reverse shift of the sleeve, it reverses and transmits the pressure force to the synchronizing ring for a synchronizing action, in addition to the booster mechanism on the forward speed change gear.

摘要: A synchronizer assembly for use in manual transmissions for automotive vehicles wherein an internally splined hub is operatively connected to a driven rotary shaft, an internally splined clutch sleeve being rotatably connected to said hub by external splines on the hub and axially slidable thereon, a shift fork engaging and actuating said sleeve, one or more blocker rings located adjacent to the sides of said hub, and one or more transmission gears at the sides of said hub beyond said blocker rings, the gears and blocker rings having peripheral teeth adapted to be engaged by the splines on said clutch sleeve, the blocker rings and gears also having cooperating conical friction surfaces, respectively, the clutch sleeve having an interior annular groove centrally located therein and facing said hub to receive a generally circular wire spring, which spring, after some initial allowable travel of the sleeve, resists movement thereof and abuts projections extending inward from either blocker ring on movement of clutch sleeve in either direction.

摘要: An improved single cone servo-action synchronizer apparatus having a hub fixed for rotation to a transmission shaft and an outer blocker ring and a ratio gear concentrically disposed on the transmission shaft. The blocker ring is formed with a plurality of longitudinally extending drive tangs which project into apertures formed in the hub. The drive tangs have an angled cam edge which converges outwardly at a first acute angle. The apertures have a complimentary angled side which is adapted for sliding engagement with the drive tang cam edge upon energization of the synchronizer apparatus. This sliding engagment causes the torque capacity of the synchronizer apparatus to be increased for a given input synchronizing force.

摘要: An inertia lock type synchronous clutch mechanism wherein a shifting sleeve is splined to a clutch hub and has circumferentially spaced cam portions on each axial side for engaging axially convex portions of an elastic ring on each side which convex portions fit within circumferentially spaced notches formed in the rim of the clutch. The convex portions of the elastic ring engage a blocking ring to cause frictional engagement with the selected gear and synchronize the rotation of that gear and the clutch hub for smooth engagement between the shifting sleeve and that gear.

摘要: In a gear synchronizer assembly of the well-known type, a clutch sleeve is formed at its inner periphery with at least one first internal radial projection of large width and a pair of circumferentially spaced second internal radial projections of small width arranged at opposite sides of the first internal radial projection, a synchronizer ring being formed thereon with a pair of raised portions to be engaged with the first internal radial projection and another pair of raised portions to be engaged with the second internal radial projections. A thrust mechanism comprising a radially contractible annular spring is supported in place by engagement with the inner circumference of a cylindrical hub portion of a hub member fixed to a transmission shaft. The annular spring has an axial leg extending therefrom toward the first internal radial projection, and having a radial projection which is arranged to be engaged with the first internal radial projection in shifting operation of the clutch sleeve toward a spline piece integral with a change-speed gear and arranged to abut against and urge the synchronizer ring toward the spline piece upon engagement with the first internal radial projection.

摘要: A synchronized dog clutch according to the invention comprises a clutch shaft, a coupling sleeve splined to the clutch shaft and having dog claws at its end, a synchronizer ring slidably fitted to outer periphery of the coupling sleeve, said synchronizer ring having a conical face for frictional engagement and being rotatable together with the coupling sleeve, and a gear wheel coaxially and rotatably arranged with respect to the clutch shaft and having teeth at its outer periphery. The gear wheel is provided with a conical face and claws respectively engagable with the conical face of the synchronizer ring and the claws of the coupling sleeve. The conical face of the gear wheel is disposed closely and radially inside the teeth, and the claws of the gear wheel are arranged inside the conical face, and thereby torque transmitted through the conical faces for synchronization is increased.
