摘要: Control system for controlling operations of a marine vessel having a first engine and a second engine is provided. Parity switches are operable to start/stop first and second engine. Each parity switch is actuated for first time to activate remote start/stop control of respective engine. Each switch is actuated for second time to switch respective engine to ON or OFF state. Operator console is communicatively coupled to parity switches to receive first and/or second user inputs. Propulsion control unit is communicably coupled to operator console via network communication channel, first engine control unit of first engine and second engine control unit of second engine. Propulsion control unit receives operational parameters for engines from engine control units and receives first and second user inputs from operator console. Propulsion control unit transmits engine operating signals for operating respective engines in response to first and/or second user input and based on operational parameters.

摘要: An outboard motor includes a drive shaft cover to cover a drive shaft extending downwardly from an engine, a lower unit turnable with respect to the drive shaft cover, and a harness. A lower housing of the lower unit houses a lower portion of the drive shaft and an electrical component. The harness is connected to the electrical component through an upper space provided in the drive shaft cover and through a lower space that communicates with the upper space from below in the lower housing.

摘要: A modular drive apparatus includes a gear box (16) with a rotatable internal transmission gear (60). The gear box includes a plurality of body openings (44). The openings may be selectively closed by the installation of cover plates (52, 54). With a cover plate removed, a drive coupler (32, 34, 58, 148) may be extended in the respective opening and mounted in operative connection with the gear box. In the mounted position of the drive coupler, an idler gear (72, 172) engages the ring gear of the gear box. Rotatable power devices such as pumps, motors and generators may be operatively rotatably engaged with the drive coupler.

摘要: A marine propulsion device includes a first gear, a second gear, a third gear, a case, a partition wall, and a first flow path. The case includes an internal space in which the first gear, the second gear, and the third gear are located. The partition wall is located between the second gear and the third gear in the internal space. The partition wall partitions the internal space into a first space and a second space. The second gear is located in the first space. The third gear is located in the second space. The first flow path communicates the first space with the second space. The first flow path is located on a same side as the first gear with respect to a center line of the second gear and the third gear.

摘要: A vessel propulsion apparatus includes a first transmission path that transmits the power of an engine to a propeller shaft, a second transmission path that transmits the power of a motor to the propeller shaft, and a controller. A first clutch cuts off the power transmission of the first transmission path in a first disconnection state, and permits the power transmission of the first transmission path in a first connection state. A second clutch cuts off the power transmission of the second transmission path in a second disconnection state, and permits the power transmission of the second transmission path in a second connection state. The controller executes tuning control of both the engine and the motor when the first clutch is switched between the first disconnection state and the first connection state and when the second clutch is switched between the second connection state and the second disconnection state.

摘要: A method of operating a marine propulsion system (1) in a trolling mode. The marine propulsion system (1) comprises at least one propeller shaft (6) which can be driven by an engine (2), via a pressure operated forward clutch (4), in a forward direction or, via a pressure operated reverse clutch (5), in a reverse direction. A forward pressure is applied to engage the forward clutch (4) to a certain extent and, at the same time, a reverse pressure is applied to engage the reverse clutch (5) to a certain extent. A value of the forward pressure is different from a value of the reverse pressure so that the propeller shaft (6) is caused to rotate in a desired rotational direction. A control unit with mechanism to operate the marine propulsion system according to the method and a marine propulsion system with such a control unit are also disclosed.
