In one example, a first stress in a first direction causes a variation in a component. A second stress in a second direction is applied, thereby reducing the variation in the component. 摘要： A non-contacting rotary joint for transmitting an input signal guided within an input optical waveguide has an electrical transmission line and a probe. The transmission line has an even number N≧4 of equal length transmission line segments. The optical waveguide is connected to an optical distribution network which has an optical power splitter for splitting the input signal into N or N/2 individual signals of equal optical power. These signals are forwarded to opto-electrical converters to generate electrical signals for driving the electrical transmission line. The lengths of the optical transmission lines are adjusted so that the propagation time of the optical signal from the end of the input optical waveguide to the end of each individual optical transmission line is approximately the same.

A pressure interrupter cover assembly is sealingly secured to the open end of case for the elements and has a deformable cover with a centrally mounted common cover terminal and a plurality of section cover terminals mounted at spaced apart locations. A conductor frangibly connects the common element terminal of the capacitor section to the common cover terminal and conductors respectively frangibly connect the capacitor section terminals to the section cover terminals. Deformation of the cover caused by failure of the capacitor element breaks at least some of the frangible connections sufficient to disconnect the capacitive element from an electric circuit in which it is connected. A cover insulation barrier mounted on the deformable cover, has a barrier cup substantially surrounding the common cover terminal and a plurality of barrier fins each extending radially outwardly from the barrier cup, and deployed between adjacent section cover terminals.

摘要： An EMI filtered terminal assembly includes at least one conductive terminal pin, a feedthrough capacitor, and a counter-bore associated with a passageway through the capacitor and the lead wire. Preferably, the feedthrough capacitor having counter-drilled holes on its top side is first bonded to a hermetic insulator. The counter-bore in the capacitor provides greater volume for the electro-mechanical attachment between the capacitor and the lead wire, permitting robotic dispensing of, for example, thermal-setting conductive adhesive.

The movable electrode further includes a curved portion that protrudes toward the fixed electrode. The variable capacitor also includes a dielectric pattern provided on the first opposing face.
