    摘要: A micro-device includes a movable part, a frame and a connecting part. The movable part has a main portion, a first capacitor electrode and a first driver electrode. The capacitor electrode and the driver electrode have electrode teeth extending from the main portion. The frame includes second capacitor and driver electrodes, where the second capacitor electrode has electrode teeth extending toward the first capacitor electrode, and the second driver electrode has electrode teeth extending toward the first driver electrode. The connecting part connects the movable part to the frame. The first and second capacitor electrodes have their electrode teeth overlapped in their initial position. The movable part is rotatable for varying the extent of the overlapping between the first and second driver electrodes.

    摘要: A variable capacitor and method of varying capacitance in which two pressurally engaged plates having electrically conductive patterns on facing surfaces are separated by a low friction polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon.TM.) dielectric disk so that the plates may be rotated relative to one another to vary capacitance. Each of the facing surfaces of the plates include two spaced semicircular patterns, one that is electrically connected to the capacitor and one that is not, for maintaining the separation of the plates from the disk. The dielectric disk may be ten to twenty times thicker than the semicircular patterns.

    摘要: An insulating frame is formed by an insert mold such that a portion of a stator lead member is exposed from and flush with the upper surface thereof. The exposed portion of the stator lead member is plated with a metal having a low melting temperature, and the upper surface of the insulating frame is coated with an adhesive. Then, a ceramic dielectric body, which is provided at its lower side with a stator electrode, is placed on the adhesive layer. Subsequently, heat is applied to the ceramic dielectric body and the insulating frame while pressing them to each other so that the metal of the low melting point is molten to electrically connect the stator electrode and the stator lead member. The assembly is then cooled to solidify the metal of the low melting point, as well as the adhesive. Since the ceramic dielectric body is fixed to the frame by means of the adhesive, the steps of grinding and polishing of the stator electrode is eliminated advantageously.

    摘要: A highly accurate UHF television tuner utilizes an improved housing and an improved mounting system for securing the tuning rotor and stator within the housing. The housing is fabricated from sheet metal that is welded at the corners to provide mechanical rigidity, and soldered at the corners to provide a good electrical contact. A cover is placed over an open end of the housing and soldered at the corners further to increase the mechanical rigidity of the housing. The depth of the housing is increased to reduce the effects of the housing on the tuner elements. An eyelet is mounted in one end of the housing for supporting the rotor shaft, and the stator is mounted by insulating posts that are inserted through sleeves integrally formed in the housing. An improved contact for more effectively grounding the rotor shaft to the housing is provided, and an improved detenting system is provided for the selector shaft to reduce the effects of inertial creep. An improved method is provided for mounting the rotor plates to the rotor shaft and for mounting the stator plates to the housing to improve the accuracy of alignment between the rotor and stator plates.

    摘要: A variable capacitor includes a plurality of stator plates supported on spaced parallel rods. A plurality of rotor plates supported on a shaft are arranged so that each rotor plate is placed a predetermined distance from the surface of the adjacent stator plate. This is accomplished by spacer members disposed between the adjacent stator plates as well as between the adjacent rotor plates. Each spacer member is made of metal wire, with a circular cross-section, and is shaped in form of a ring. Use of the metal wire having a predetermined dimension is much more convenient than a tube or sleeve. Consequently fixing the distance between the stator plates and between the rotor plates can be performed with high accuracy.

After the desired number of rotor electrodes are stacked in combination with spacers and fusion-welded in an integrated form, the integrated stator electrode structure and the integrated rotor electrode structure are assembled with the capacitor stationary member and a rotor shaft to produce the variable capacitor.
