摘要： Distortion in the deflection driver circuit of an electron beam scanning device is corrected by adding a controlled pulse to the shaping capacitor across the deflection coil during the retrace interval. A pulse generator controls a transistor switch across the capacitor and provides a saw-tooth waveform which reduces the charge at the start of the scan period to compensate for distortion. The pulse width is adjustable to control the degree of linearity correction.

摘要： A cathode ray tube high-voltage supply system is of the type in which sawtooth-shaped pulses are developed in a first transformer winding in order to produce a scanning waveform in a deflection yoke on the tube. So-called fly-back energy, developed as a result of magnetic field collapse in the yoke during retrace, is utilized, in turn, to produce high-voltage output pulses in another winding to which a load is coupled that requires a broad, generally-square pulse shape. The first winding is wound upon a first ferromagnetic core that defines a non-saturating magnetic circuit. The other winding is wound upon a second ferromagnetic core which, together with a portion of the first core, defines a second magnetic circuit that saturates in operation. A capacitor included in the load is coupled across the other winding and controls the energy in said second magnetic circuit in such a manner as to supply the load with pulses that are broad and have a generally-square shape.

摘要： A rectified supply voltage from an AC utility outlet is chopped under the control of a recurrent flyback pulse from the horizontal sweep circuit of a television receiver with the aid of a normally blocked chopping transistor in series with an ancillary transistor, the two transistors being of like conductivity-type and having their bases conductively interconnected by a high-ohmic resistor. A trigger pulse is periodically applied between the emitter of the ancillary transistor and the base of the chopping transistor through a secondary winding of a transformer whose primary winding acts as an inductance of a smoothing network for the chopped supply voltage. A differentiation circuit connects the collector of the ancillary transistor to the emitter of the chopping transistor, a Zener diode in the input of the ancillary transistor stabilizing the system against fluctuations in driving voltage.
