Abstract:
A control system for an image processing apparatus that uses an information processing device. The image processing apparatus includes an authentication processor that authenticates users with reference to user information that associates, for multiple users, information regarding the user with starting screen information used to start operating the image processing apparatus and a screen information transmitter that transfers screen information to the information processing device independent of the image processing apparatus. The screen information is used to display the starting screen on the image processing apparatus based on the starting screen information associated with the user authenticated by the authentication processor. The information processing device includes a screen information management unit that receives the screen information and a screen display processor that displays the starling screen on a display unit of the information processing device based on the received screen information.
Abstract:
Technologies for dynamically implementing an image protection policy include a camera device with a camera to capture an image of at least one person. The camera device determines a location in the image of at least one person in the image, determines a location of at least one personal computing device, and maps the personal computing devices to the persons captured in the image based on the determined device and image locations. The camera device may broadcast an announcement of the creation of the image to the personal computing devices, negotiate an image protection policy with each of the personal computing devices, and implement the negotiated image protection policy.
Abstract:
On the basis of information indicating a recommended print setting that corresponds to a content, a display device is controlled to display, in a distinguishable manner, the recommended print setting that corresponds to a content to be printed and a print setting different from the recommended print setting. Also, according to the print setting designated by the user, an image based on the content is printed by a printing device.
Abstract:
A contact information transfer system includes an image processing apparatus and a portable terminal apparatus; the portable terminal apparatus includes a cooperation portion that launches a second application for organizing contact information upon access to the image processing apparatus being enabled by a first application for accessing the image processing apparatus, the contact information including contact identification information and points of contact connected to the respective contact identification information, a contact information obtaining portion that obtains the contact information, and a transfer portion that transfers the contact information to the image processing apparatus; the image processing apparatus includes a receiving portion that receives the contact information, a display, and a display controller that displays the contact information on the display by converting it into a data format supported on the display.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for utilizing stacks to identify Advanced Function Presentation (AFP) objects. The system includes a memory and a controller. The memory is able to store AFP print data. The controller is able to perform a parsing process on the AFP print data to identify AFP objects. During the parsing process the controller is able to: (A) advance a parsing location within the AFP print data, and (B) if the parsing location corresponds with a BEGIN field for an AFP object, then push an entry representing the AFP object onto a stack. During the parsing process, the controller is further able to (C) determine whether the stack matches a pattern of entries defined by a rule, (D) if the stack matches the pattern, then process the AFP object at the parsing location to perform an action defined in the rule, and (E) repeat operations (A)-(D).
Abstract:
Disclosed are a display apparatus, a client, an image display system including the same, and an image display method. The display apparatus includes a communication unit which communicates with at least one client; and a controller which receives server software for displaying a sharing image and at least one personal image from an exterior server, and executes the server software so that the sharing image is displayed on one of the display unit and the at least one client and the at least one personal image is displayed on the other of the display unit and the at least one client.
Abstract:
A photographic processing system in which subject and other data is stored and such data is automatically linked to photographs taken using either a film or digital camera.
Abstract:
An image forming system includes an image forming apparatus and an information processing apparatus coupled to the network. The image forming apparatus stores, in a memory device, an information processing apparatus identifier that is assigned to a button of the image forming apparatus and transmits, to the information processing apparatus, press-down information of the button that includes the information processing apparatus identifier. The image forming apparatus additionally reads, if, in the information processing apparatus, it is determined the information processing apparatus identifier in the press-down information matches an information processing apparatus identifier stored within the information processing apparatus, a document image set in a scanner, in response to a scan execution request that is received from the information processing apparatus via the network. The image forming apparatus further transmits image data of the document image to the information processing apparatus via the network, and resets the press-down information.
Abstract:
A system and method for accessing and utilizing ancillary data with an electronic camera device includes a data source that stores various selectable ancillary data files such as image template files, text overlay files, image background files, and special program instruction files. The data source may be implemented in any effective manner, including as a service on an distributed computer network like the Internet, as a discrete electronic device such as a personal computer, or as a removable, non-volatile memory device such as a flash memory. The electronic camera device may then utilize an ancillary data module to access, select, and download the ancillary data files from the data source for subsequently combining with other captured image data to thereby produce new composite images.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: a motor unit configured to give a rotary drive force to rotary members for conveying a recording medium; a switch circuit provided in a power supply line connecting a power source and the motor unit to supply electric power, connecting the motor unit to the power source upon closure of the body cover, and disconnecting the motor unit from the power source upon opening of the body cover; a power-off detecting section; a rate-of-voltage-change calculating section; and a control section. The control section deactivates each of mechanisms in the image forming apparatus when the power-off detecting section detects shutoff of power supply from the power source, and reactivates each of the mechanisms, provided that the rate of change of voltage calculated by the rate-of-voltage-change calculating section has reached a predetermined threshold, when the power-off detecting section detects electric power is supplied from the power source.
