The method includes obtaining a video signal, and splitting several frames of images in the video signal into two or more sub-images; performing first processing on the two or more sub-images of the several frames of images using two or more image sensor processor (ISP) processing units; and outputting the processed two or more sub-images of the several frames of images. The present invention can improve resolution of output images, make images at joints clear, and implement an ultra-high resolution camera, thereby avoiding deficiencies such as image overlapping or missing at a seam, color difference, and out of synchronization that occur because an existing ultra-high definition video camera system uses a plurality of cameras to perform image splicing.

    摘要: Techniques are provided to encode and decode image data comprising a tone mapped (TM) image with HDR reconstruction data in the form of luminance ratios and color residual values. In an example embodiment, luminance ratio values and residual values in color channels of a color space are generated on an individual pixel basis based on a high dynamic range (HDR) image and a derivative tone-mapped (TM) image that comprises one or more color alterations that would not be recoverable from the TM image with a luminance ratio image. The TM image with HDR reconstruction data derived from the luminance ratio values and the color-channel residual values may be outputted in an image file to a downstream device, for example, for decoding, rendering, and/or storing. The image file may be decoded to generate a restored HDR image free of the color alterations.

    摘要: An image sensor may have an array of image sensor pixels arranged in color filter unit cells each having one red image pixel that generates red image signals, one blue image pixel that generate blue image signals, and two clear image sensor pixels that generate white image signals. The image sensor may be coupled to processing circuitry that performs filtering operations on the red, blue, and white image signals to increase noise correlations in the image signals that reduce noise amplification when applying a color correction matrix to the image signals. The processing circuitry may extract a green image signal from the white image signal. The processing circuitry may compute a scaling value that includes a linear combination of the red, blue, white and green image signals. The scaling value may be applied to the red, blue, and green image signals to produce corrected image signals having improved image quality.

The image sensing apparatus calculates a block statistics value corresponding to a block of pixels in an image sensor array. Based on a look-up table, the image sensing apparatus determines a covariance value corresponding to a current gain value. According to the covariance value and the block statistics value, the image sensing apparatus corrects a color-correction matrix corresponding to the block of pixels. The image sensing apparatus can use an amended color-correction matrix to correct the color of the pixel, so as to reduce chroma noise or other noise.
