Abstract: Embodiments include a microphone assembly comprising an array microphone and a housing configured to support the array microphone and sized and shaped to be mountable in a drop ceiling in place of at least one of a plurality of ceiling tiles included in the drop ceiling. A front face of the housing includes a sound-permeable screen having a size and shape that is substantially similar to the at least one of the plurality of ceiling tiles. Embodiments also include an array microphone system comprising a plurality of microphones arranged, on a substrate, in a number of concentric, nested rings of varying sizes around a central point of the substrate. Each ring comprises a subset of the plurality of microphones positioned at predetermined intervals along a circumference of the ring.

Abstract: Improved passive heat sinking of acoustic cameras having a microphone array and onboard processor is provided. The onboard processor is heat sunk using a heat sink member within a sealed enclosure to conduct heat to a heat dissipation surface of the enclosure. Preferably the heat sink member is mostly a spring member having the dual functions of providing mechanical force to ensure good thermal contact with the onboard processor and providing heat conduction to the heat dissipation surface. A single enclosure can enclose both the onboard processor and the microphone array. Alternatively, the enclosure can have two parts, a first part enclosing the microphone array, and a second part enclosing the onboard processor.

Abstract: An audio system includes a speaker and a processor. The processor determines a privacy setting for an audio signal. The privacy setting may be selected by a user. The privacy setting may indicate activation of a private mode, or may indicate a privacy level from a range of privacy levels. The processor determines an audio filter that adjusts the audio signal to mitigate sound leakage when presented by the speaker based on the privacy setting. The audio filter may include a low-pass filter and a multiband compressor. The parameters of the audio filter may vary based on the privacy setting. The processor applies the audio filter to the audio signal to generate a filtered audio signal and provides the filtered audio signal to the speaker.

Abstract: An audio and video broadcasting apparatus includes a plurality of sound signal capturing devices, an image capturing device, a controller, and a speaker. The sound signal capturing devices capture a plurality of sound signals. The image capturing device obtains a display image. The controller is configured to: divide the display image into a plurality of display regions; establish a correspondence between the disposition positions and relative positions of the display regions; receive a playback setting command of a selected region, and set a playing weight of each of the display regions according to the playback setting command; and adjust a volume playback setting corresponding to the sound signals according to the playing weight of each of the display regions and the correspondence, and generate an output sound signal according to the volume playback setting and the sound signals. The speaker performs a sound playing action.

The frame may be adapted for wearing by a user and include an eyeglass frame having a nose bridge. The at least one optics holding member may include at least one illuminator configured to selectively illuminate at least a portion of at least one eye of the user and at least one image sensor configured to capture image data representing images of at least a portion of at least one eye of the user. The optics holding member may be coupled with the nose bridge. The control unit may be configured to control the at least one illuminator for the selective illumination of at least a portion of at least one eye of the user, and receive the image data from the at least one image sensor.
