摘要： An automotive extrusion-molded product such as a trim, weather strip, and window molding which is used at a vehicle body opening such as an automotive door, trunk, and window of an automobile comprises a core material (2) having a U shape in the cross section which is made of a hard synthetic resin, said core material having cut portions (7, 8) with various shapes and extending in the lengthwise direction and a coating body (3) made of a soft synthetic resin, which is adhered to the core material so as to cover the core material. The coating body (3) is provided with a pushed-in portion (5) which is formed integrally with the coating body and extends downward beyond the end portion (4, 4) of the core material so as to be able to be pushed in toward an inner peripheral surface (14) having a U shape in the cross section of the core material. The pushed in portion (5) is provided with a plurality of holding members (6, 6) which project to the outside of the pushed-in portion and are disposed so as to be opposed to each other within a space formed by the inner peripheral surface having a U shape in the cross section of the core material when the pushed-in portion is pushed into the space formed by the inner peripheral surface of the core material.

Further, the continuous extrusion molding system for continuously extrusion molding the weather strip for the automobile comprises a prickly gear, rotatable while pressed in contact with the weather strip being extruded, and disposed so as to be adjacent to a mouth piece of an extruder, and tiny holes having the depth reaching the core bar are defined preferably in a groove bottom of a U-like shape of a part of the slightly foamed solid rubber portion, in such a way as to be arranged in line along the longitudinal direction of the weather strip by use of the prickly gear.

摘要： A method/apparatus closes and finishes an open end of a product that can be fused together with heat. The apparatus includes a bending stage, a fusing stage, and a pressing/cooling stage, which all can be integrally formed, with the bending stage positioned upstream of the fusing stage, and the pressing/cooling stage positioned downstream of the fusing stage. The apparatus can further include a trimming stage positioned upstream of the bending stage for preparing the ends of a panel. The product has a pair of spaced layers with edges that form an open end. Either one or both of the layers can be heated and rolled toward the other layer while being heated so that they contact and fuse together. The layers can overlap and fuse at their contact surfaces, or the edges can abut to form a butt joint, or the edges can overlap slightly.

Exemplary passive intermodulation free thermal blankets comprise a reflector stack including multiple polyimide layers with metallized film on one side thereof, a binding layer that secures the reflector stack together, and an outer cover layer that wraps around the binding layer and reflector stack to cover an outer surface of the thermal blanket and form a hem on an inner surface of the thermal blanket. Multiple small thermal blankets or patches may be bound together using grounding inserts and polyimide tape to form a quilt-like assembly. The quilt-like assembly is enclosed by an outer cover layer that wraps around the multiple patches to cover one surface thereof and form a hem on an opposite surface thereof.
