摘要： An apparatus for slicing food products includes a product feed and an interleaver. The product feed is operable to supply products to a cutting plane in a plurality of tracks running in parallel next to one another. At least one cutting blade is moved in the cutting plane. The interleaver has a conveying device for each track that is operable to convey a front end region of an interleaved sheet material web through the cutting plane in each track to provide the front end region in the respective track as an interleaved sheet between cut-off product layers. The interleaver is operable individually per track and each conveying device is configured such that it conveys the respective front end region of the respective interleaved sheet material web through the cutting plane individually per track in dependence on an angular position of the cutting blade.

摘要： Tomatoes or other articles are placed over moving cutter blades (20) in article openings of an article locator of an article slicer (10). Article pushers (24) move downwardly and have downwardly extending pusher fins for pushing the tomatoes through the cutter blades. The article pushers are carried by a movable support plate (78) between retracted positions behind the cutter blades and extended positions over the cutter blades. A pick and placer (76) is carried by the same movable support plate (78) and moves simultaneously in the same lateral directions as the article pushers, between positions over the oncoming line of tomatoes on an entrance conveyor (64) and over the cutter blades.

The feed device also includes at least one front member for engaging with the log to be cut, arranged and controlled so as to engage frontally with each log, or series of rolls obtained after the log has been cut, for at least a part of its travel along the feed channel.

The paper pushing device can include a shaft configured to be received and anchored in an opening of a substrate, for example, a retaining board. The paper pushing device can include a base that extends from the shaft, and a paddle connected to the base at a shoulder. The base can extend in a first direction perpendicular to the shaft and away from the central axis of the shaft, and the paddle can extend in a second direction opposite the first direction and past the central axis of the shaft. Methods are also provided whereby the paper pushing device can be used in various die-cutting and workpiece manipulating operations.

The end slices (30 and 40) are gathered in end collectors (96) and discarded while the intermediate slices (42) are received in transfer tray (72). Gathering plates (100) urge the intermediate slices of the several tomatoes to gather in one accumulation of tomato slices, and the transfer tray (72) is lowered to a position immediately above shipping containers (74) and tilted to deposit the tomatoes in the containers.

摘要： In a method for cutting a loaf-shaped food, a loaf of the food is advanced toward a cutting device by means of a feed apparatus and the loaf is cut into slices, strips or cubes by means of said cutting device such that the loaf is fixed during the feed movement by means of a vacuum gripper that is advanced together with the loaf and a negative pressure is generated within an interior of a contact element of the vacuum gripper and acts upon a fixing region of the surface of the loaf in a suction region of the contact element; in order to avoid the risk of defects due to a vacuum loss and a loss of the fixing force, it is proposed that the suction region is divided into at least two separate partial suction regions and the interior of the contact element is accordingly divided into at least two partial interiors, wherein the partial suction regions respectively adjoin one another, are separated from by a contact line and form separate partial fixing regions.
