    摘要: A tool for cutting a hollow profile is designed both for cutting a flange on the hollow profile and for forming the hollow profile using an internal high pressure forming process. The tool has at least one cutting device which extends parallel to the longitudinal extent of the hollow profile, has a cutting edge and is displaceable transversely to the hollow profile. A side of the cutting device that faces the hollow profile is designed as a shaping die wall, against which the hollow profile bears at least during the internal high pressure forming. In addition, the tool my have an integrated embossing punch and also a perorating punch formed coaxially thereto, thereby also enabling optional embossing and/or perforating of the hollow profile in addition to the cutting and the internal high pressure forming.

    摘要: The invention relates to a forming tool for forming sheet blanks in a diaphragm press of the kind comprising an openable, closed pressure chamber, which is divided in a gas and liquid tight manner by means of a flexible diaphragm. The forming tool is arranged on one side of the diaphragm and a sheet blank to be formed is arranged between the forming tool and the diaphragm. The opposite side of the diaphragm is pressurized by a fluid being supplied at high pressure to cause the flexible diaphragm to deform and, thus, the sheet blank to be pressed against the forming tool. The forming tool comprises an elongate cutting and flanging tool along at least part of its periphery and/or around an intended opening in the sheet blank.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing a peripherally closed hollow profiled element by means of internal high-pressure forming, a hollow elongated blank (5) being inserted into an internal high-pressure forming tool (1), and the blank (5) located completely inside the forming tool (1) after the insertion being compressed in a region lying between its ends (9, 10) during the closing operation of the forming tool (1), after which the compressed blank (5) is expanded into the final shape of the hollow profiled element by means of fluidic internal high pressure. In order to permit reliable production of the hollow profiled element even during pronounced compression deformations of the blank (5) of the hollow profiled element, which are produced during the closing of the forming tool (1), it is proposed that the ends (9, 10) of the blank (5) be trimmed before the compression operation, with a respective beveled front face (12, 13) being formed, and that the trimming contour of the ends (9, 10) and the beveling angle (α) be selected in such a way that the ends (9, 10) are deformed by means of the compression operation in such a way that their front faces (12, 13) have an essentially plane form and assume a position which is as perpendicular as possible to the longitudinal extent of the blank (5).

    摘要: Method and apparatus are disclosed wherein a required threaded hole is formed in a hydroformed part with a single tool while the part remains in a hydroforming die cavity. In forming the threaded hole, a hole is first pierced in the wall of the part and then an annular region of the part extending about the hole is extruded inwardly to form an integral tubular neck defining a hole of predetermined depth. The hole is then expanded in a sizing operation to a diameter determined by the required thread to be formed therein by material displacement and the required thread is then formed in the wall of the hole in a material displacing manner.

    摘要: To produce an elongate hollow metal body with a cross-sectional contour varying in the longitudinal direction by the internal high-pressure forming process in an internal high-pressure forming press, a sheet-metal blank composed of two blank parts of identical area is first produced, each part having, apart from additional joining-area parts provided in the region of the longitudinal edges, in the longitudinal direction at least the length of the longitudinal hollow body and in the transverse direction at most half the length of the respective cross-sectional contour. Subsequently, the two blank parts are laid one on top of the other and are joined together, in particular welded, in the region of the joining-area parts. Thereafter, the sheet-metal blank is expanded by introducing a pressure medium between the two blank parts held within a tool consisting of two dies. The tool is so shaped that, when it is closed onto the blank, it produces a curved shape in the blank, with the result that the hollow body produced by expansion is curved and can have a cross-sectional contour which varies along its length.

A resilient, deformable object is inserted into the can body and positioned therein so that at least a portion thereof is located radially opposite portions of the can body on each side of the cutting member. The resilient, deformable object is deformed so as to move a first part thereof against a portion of the can body to prevent longitudinal movement of the can body and then to move a second part thereof against the portion of the can body located between the cutting member and the open end of the can body in a radially outward direction so as to sever that portion from the can body.
