摘要: A method for converting a non-driven tag axle system to a driven axle system is disclosed where a forward driven axle system is converted to drive an interaxle drive shaft. The interaxle drive shaft is connected to a drive axle head mounted within the tag axle housing. Drive axles are connected to drive axle head. In another embodiment, a forward driven axle system is removed from a first position on the vehicle frame and the tag axle is removed from a second position on the vehicle frame. A differential is installed in the tag axle and it is located in the first position. The forward driven axle system is located in the second position and connected to the differential in the first position.

摘要: A method is provided for modifying a cab assembly of a Class 5 or higher truck. The cab assembly includes a cab. The cab has an original cab height from a cab bottom end to a cab top end thereof. The cab includes a bottom region, a window region located above the bottom region, a roof region located above the window region, and a window defined in the window region. The method includes: cutting the cab through the window region to divide the cab into a top section and a bottom section; and thereafter joining the top section or a replacement top section to the bottom section to form a modified cab, wherein the modified cab has a modified height from the cab bottom end to the cab top end that is less than the original cab height.

摘要: Modular convertible furniture systems include a pair of similar open-ended box frame assemblies which are nestable one within the other. A pair of slotted support rails are attached pivotally at respective opposing corners of one of the box frame assemblies so as to be movable between raised and lowered positions. When in a raised position, the rails provide a support for a solid board plank thereby becoming a seat back (e.g., for a chair, love seat, or sofa-type arrangement). When the rails are in a lowered position substantially parallel to the ground, the two box frame assemblies may be oriented back-to-back so as to provide a support for a mattress thereby converting the structure into a bed arrangement, for example. The box frame assemblies can be positioned on different sides and ends thereby allowing formation of tables and/or shelving as may be desired.

摘要: A high performance intermediate servo assembly wherein the servo piston has been modified to provide at least a 17% increase in surface apply area and a corresponding increase in hydraulic pressure delivered to the 2nd gear clutch band which it actuates. The present servo piston is reconfigured to an overall length equivalent to the assembled stack-up dimensions of the original equipment servo piston, accumulator, accumulator spring, and spring retainer components and integrates the critical working surfaces thereof to retain proper function. Such original equipment components have been eliminated to simplify the intermediate servo assembly operation since shift feel is not a concern in this application. O-ring seals on the original equipment servo piston are replaced by high performance seals such as quad-lobed seals to ensure hydraulic integrity under the increased fluid pressure generated. A method of replacing the original equipment components with the present servo assembly is disclosed.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for producing a bending-resistant, elongated body, preferably a shaft or beam. The invention is characterized in that an elongated blank is produced having at least one cavity extending essentially along the entire length of the blank, the inner surface of which cavity is at a distance from the mass center of the blank seen in a section at right angles to its longitudinal axis and that affixed in the cavity is a fiber composite body with an outer surface essentially congruent with the inner surface of the cavity and that majority of the fibers in the fiber composite body both extend essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the elongated blank and are elongated along the whole of its length. The invention also relates to an arrangement produced according to the method.

摘要: A device and method for adapting an arrow bolt fletching tool for use in fletching crossbow arrow bolts. The invention is designed to facilitate fletching crossbow arrow bolts, which are shot without nocks, utilizing a commercially available fletching tool which is designed and produced for use in fletching arrows having nocks which remain with the arrow and are shot with it. The invention provides for an end cap, containing a specially shaped indentation, to be placed in the end of the crossbow arrow bolt. A special fletching nock, with an end configured to fit within the indentation of the end cap, is inserted within the end cap for purposes of fletching the arrow only and is then removed. The fletching nock has a forked, or u-shaped, end, which engages the fletching tool in the same manner as a standard arrow nock.
