摘要: An electric parking brake actuator has a transmission mechanism, which is rotationally drivable by an electric motor and converts rotational movement into an axial movement of an actuating rod that carries an actuating element for the parking brake. The actuating rod normally moves by electric motor displacement via the transmission mechanism from an unblocking position to a blocking position and vice versa. A blocking mechanism serves the purpose of holding the actuating rod in the unblocking position of the actuating rod against the force of a spring element. A blocking disc, which is in drive connection with the transmission mechanism, has a stop surface for a locking device in only one rotational direction of the blocking disc. For secondary alternate operation the stop surface is releasable by the locking device so that the actuating rod is biased by the spring element to the blocking position without electric-motorized assistance.

摘要: A brake piston includes a piston pocket. The piston pocket receives a nut that is axially movable along a center axis. The nut is restricted from rotating within the piston pocket when a torque due to a frictional engagement between a nut seal and an inner pocket wall, one or more projections, or both is greater than an input torque at the nut. The nut is rotatable within the piston pocket when a torque due to the frictional engagement between the nut seal and the inner pocket wall, the one or more projections or both is less than the input torque at the nut and is less than the torque due to the frictional engagement between the piston and the piston seal.

摘要: A self-locking brake mechanism, which utilises a cantilever to engage a brake drum to prevent the brake drum from rotating, thereby resulting in braking behaviour. Further, locking mechanisms are provided that are useful for applications involving multiple brakes. The locking mechanism, through suitable use of indexing via Geneva mechanisms, allows multiple brakes to be engaged and/or disengaged from a single point of adjustment. The multiple brakes may be engaged or disengaged in a variety of combinations to achieve a particular desired braking configuration. The user can turn a single knob to engage or disengage varying combinations of brakes so as to achieve the desired braking configuration.

摘要: A brake actuator comprises a housing having an end wall and a pushrod projecting through an opening in the end wall and terminating at a movable plate in the housing. A spring is enclosed in the housing and surrounds the pushrod. At least one unitary resilient member is disposed on the push rod proximate to the end wall and partially extends through the opening for centering the spring around an axis of the pushrod and restricting contamination into the housing. The unitary resilient member comprises a central aperture and an annular flange surrounding the central aperture. At least one section of a collar radially outward from the annular flange has a thickness less than half of the annular flange thickness for constraining movement of the spring and the push rod in a radial direction.

摘要: A salad spinner has a hub connected in a rotary driving relationship to a colander mounted within the salad spinner for rotation about an axis of rotation. A brake provides braking force to the hub coaxially with the colander axis of rotation. The brake includes a spring-loaded button located coaxially with the colander axis of rotation and an actuation element between the button and the hub for applying coaxial, linear force from the button to the hub for braking. A drive plate is connected in a rotary driving relationship to the hub, and the button is constrained for co-rotation with the drive plate and linear motion relative the drive plate.

摘要: An electromagnetic brake includes a hub disposed about a shaft and configured for rotation with the shaft about a rotational axis. An electromagnet assembly is fixed against rotation about the axis and includes a housing defining axially extending, radially spaced inner and outer poles and a brake plate extending radially therebetween. A conductor is disposed between the poles on one side of the brake plate. An armature is disposed on the other side of the brake plate and coupled to a body driven by the shaft. The electromagnet assembly, armature and hub form an electromagnetic circuit when the conductor is energized urging the armature towards the brake plate. A portion of the magnetic flux in the circuit travels radially inwardly across a first radial air gap from the inner pole to the hub and then radially outwardly across a second radial air gap from the hub to the brake plate.

摘要: A parking brake actuator generates and applies a braking force to a vehicle wheel in such a manner that the parking brake actuator converts a rotational motion of a screw member, which is rotated by an electric parking brake driving device, into a translatory motion and transmitting the converted translatory motion to a piston to push a brake pad toward a disc by the piston. The electric parking brake driving device includes an electric motor and a reduction gear mechanism which transmits driving force of the electric motor to the parking brake actuator. The reduction gear mechanism includes a gear body and a planetary gear mechanism, which is provided within the gear body and into which the driving force of the electric motor is inputted. A cushion rubber, which is compressible in the circumferential direction, is interposed between a ring gear of the planetary gear mechanism and the gear body.
