    摘要： A longitudinal guide for motor vehicle seats having a bottom rail and a seat rail that are displaceable with respect to each other in one longitudinal direction. The motor vehicle seats are adjustable in a longitudinal direction and are also removable from the longitudinal guide. Detents are formed in the bottom rail. The seat rail comprises a base part and a supporting part. The base part has at least one front and at least one rear transverse bolt, which cooperate with the detents. The base part is adjustable with respect to the supporting part between a lower position, in which the transverse bolts are not engaged with the detents, and an upper position, in which the transverse bolts engage detents. Only in the lower position is the seat rail displaceable with respect to the bottom rail.

    摘要： A stationary rail of generally channel-shaped construction is secured to the vehicle floor so as to have an elongate opening thereof oriented to the direction of movement of a seat mounted thereover. The stationary rail has a coaxially extending main portion or section and coaxially extending guided and guiding portions or members. A movable rail connected to the seat has throughout the length thereof the same cross section as the stationary rail. The movable rail is slidably engaged with the stationary rail in such a manner that the guided and guiding portions thereof are engaged with the corresponding guided and guiding portions of the movable rail in a mutually inverted relationship, having the main portion thereof and the corresponding truck portion of the movable rail spaced. Rollers are embraced by the stationary and movable rails in such a manner that the cylindrical outer surface of each roller engages with both the main portions of the stationary and movable rails.

    摘要： A position locator for an adjustable seat supporting assembly includes a guide rail over which a seat supporting channel is movable. Structure is provided on the channel to function with a locator plate formed with the guide rail so that the seat channel is adjustable between a plurality of different positions. Structure is also provided that positively locates front and rear positions for the seat supporting channel. This structure is actuated by a device which permits one to move the seat directly to either the front or the rear position and then to lock the seat in such a position. With the position locator, one driver of a vehicle containing the seat may move the seat to the rear position and another driver may move the seat to the front position.
