摘要： A power door drive system for moving a sliding side door on a vehicle body having an aperture between an open position substantially clear of the aperture and a closed position substantially covering the aperture. A guide track having channel and rack portions is mounted to the vehicle body adjacent the aperture. The rack portion includes a plurality of rack teeth. A hinge member is adapted for mounting to the side door and includes a plurality of guide rollers for rollingly engaging the channel portion of the guide track. A power drive mechanism mounted to the hinge member includes a reversible motor for producing a drive torque, a pinion gear having a plurality of drive teeth meshingly engaging the rack teeth, and an endless belt for transferring the drive torque from the motor to the pinion gear thereby driving the sliding door between the open and closed position.

摘要： A device is provided for opening and closing a door (5) in a doorway (7) of a structure (9) in a railway or bus car comprising an upper ejection assembly, a lower ejection assembly and a translation assembly, the upper ejection assembly further comprising a translation slide bar. The upper and lower ejection assemblies comprise rotation arms (1, 11) joined at one side to the fixed structure (9) by hinges (13) mounted through curved slots on respective brackets (15), and at the other side to a frame which is integral with the door (5). A slide bar (37) passes through the doorway (7) and is pivoted at one end to a movable end of the upper arm (1), and at the other end to a fixed bracket (47) on the other side of the doorway (7). After the door (5) has been separated from the doorway (7), the door is translated by means of a suitable rack (61) integral with the door, engaged by a gear wheel (59) which is driven through suitable gears (55, 57) by another rack (53) which in turn is driven by a rod (51) of a fluid actuated cylinder (49). According to one embodiment of the invention, the ejection assemblies are driven by at least one fluid pressure cylinder (20) the rod of which is secured to a rack (19) which engages a suitable gear wheel (21) keyed on a rotation shaft (23) of the ejection arms (1, 11) and causes their partial rotation, thus accomplishing the separation or ejection of the door (5) from the doorway (7) of the structure (9).

摘要： A power door operator for transit vehicles utilizing a rodless pneumatic cylinder as a prime mover in opening and closing doors in the sidewall of a transit vehicles. Door movement having a controlled, predetermined door edge force is achieved through mechanical coupling an external piston of the rodless cylinder and vehicle doors through and endless toothed belt. Magnetic coupling between internal and external pistons of the cylinder provide controlled force having a maximum or breakaway value applied to the operated door. A novel reaction lock operated by admission of pressurized air to the cylinder latches or unlatches the operated door in its closed position subsequent or prior to door closing or opening. Control of door motion at the ends of its travel is achieved through the use of a novel differential area internal piston in the pneumatic cylinder. Available internal piston force is modified for predetermined piston positions on approaching either end of the cylinder through the use of a sliding rod contained by the pressure sensitive internal position. Movement of the sliding rod adjust the effective piston area so as to modify available force to controlling door motion. An additional embodiment of the invention disclosed utilizes direct panel locking means independent of the operator drive belt.

The drive means include a motorized chain transmission connected to the two doors to effect their opening and closing sliding movements, and rotatable cam means defining, for each door, an arcuate track with which feeler means connected to the two doors cooperate to effect, in the initial phase of the opening sliding movement and in the final phase of the closing sliding movement of these doors respectively, the withdrawal and the emplacement of the doors relative to the doorway.

摘要： A lead post assembly is provided for an elongated overhead track along which a folding partition including a leading edge is to be extended and retracted. The lead post assembly includes a carriage guidingly engaged with the track for shifting therealong and a vertical lead post member whose upper end portion is pivotally suspended from the carriage. A horizontal bar underlies the track and extends longitudinally therealong with one end of the bar being rigidly anchored relative to the carriage and the other end of the bar projecting along the track in the direction of retraction of the lead post assembly therealong. A guide is guidingly engaged with the track for shifting therealong and to which the other end of the bar is rigidly anchored. An elongated inclined brace member is provided and first and second attaching structures attach the upper and lower ends of the brace member to the guide and to the lead post member at a point spaced appreciately below the carriage. The upper end of the inclined brace member is pivotally attached to a longitudinal midportion of an elongated mounting plate extending longitudinally of the track and supported from the bar for angular displacement of the mounting plate relative to the bar about a horizontal axis transverse to the brace and bar.

The moving means includes a power driven pulley mounted cable laid out to define two elongated runs guided over a series of spools which maintain a generally centralized orientation of the cable throughout the oppositely directed track curvings.
