    摘要: The invention relates to an inertial method and device enabling the centering of a circular rim on its hub to be ensured and giving a practical solution to the problem of the static and dynamic balancing of rotors. The device comprises a rim, a hub, at least one linking arm with two branches passing around the hub. Masses localized at the ends of the arms ensure, in the course of rotation, the holding fast, by pressure, of the arm to the rim, on the one hand, and by traction on the branches on the other hand, of the arm to the hub. Anisotropic masses distributed between the arms keep the circularity of the rim constant. Electro-mechanical means ensure the static and dynamic balancing of the arm-rim-hub assembly. The invention may be used for the rotors of kinetic energy storage system.

    摘要: The invention concerns balancing devices for rotating mobile pieces, usingalancing weights attached as necessary to one of several collars. Each balancing weight has a beak engaging a groove of a collar and is secured to the rotor by a suitable fastener, such as a rivet. Following balancing, a ring abutting against the grooved face of the collar is set in place. The ring is equipped with uniformly distributed recesses each intended to form a socket for a balancing weight and one of the ends of its fastener, so as to prevent the ejection of any of these elements in case of a failure of the means of fixation. The ring cooperates with the rotor in forming a chamber, to retain the other end of the fastener. The invention is applicable to the balancing of any rotating mobile piece and particularly to that of the rotors of axial compressors.

    摘要: A rotor to be balanced has an annular cavity containing two balls free to roll around the cavity. An initially inert thermo-setting adhesive is coated around the cavity. The rotor is rotated to a speed just above its first resonant frequency of vibration and the balls take up balancing positions in the cavity counter balancing the out of balance of the shaft. The adhesive is activated by a temporarily placed external heat source to permanently lock the balls in the balancing position so that the shaft is permanently balanced.
