摘要: A system for transferring heat via a refrigerant between an indoor heat exchange coil and an outdoor heat exchange coil of an HVAC system of a building includes an expansion valve and a compressor. The system includes a compressor discharge refrigerant temperature sensor, an outdoor air temperature source, a controller operatively coupled to the compressor discharge refrigerant temperature sensor and the outdoor air temperature source. The controller identifies a difference between the temperatures indicative of the temperature of the compressed refrigerant at or near the output of the compressor and the measure of outdoor air temperature source, identifies a change in the identified difference over time, and reports a fault when the change in the difference exceeds a threshold.

摘要: A program for light commercial building system (LCBS) solutions. Solutions and other systems may incorporate lightweight alerting service, auto-adjustment of gateway poll rates based on the needs of various consuming applications, detecting loss of space comfort control in a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, HVAC capacity loss alerting using relative degree days and accumulated stage run time with operational equivalency checks, and HVAC alerting for loss of heat or cool capacity using delta temperature and dependent system properties. Also, incorporated may be triggering s subset of analytics by automatically inferring HVAC equipment details from controller configuration details, ensuring reliability of analytics by retaining logical continuity of HVAC equipment operational data even when controllers and other parts of the system are replaced, and an LCBS gateway with workflow and mechanisms to associate to a contractor account.

摘要: A method including: determining whether a cooling system is operating in a cooling mode, such that the cooling system is not operating in a reheat mode, a humidification mode or a dehumidification mode; determining whether the cooling system is operating in a compressor mode, such that the cooling system is not operating in a pump refrigerant economization mode; determining whether the cooling system is at steady-state; and if the cooling system is operating in the cooling mode and the compressor mode and is at steady-state, evaluating one or more rules to determine if a degradation symptom exists for the cooling system. The method further includes: subsequent to the evaluation, generating a degradation evaluation value to indicate whether the one or more rules are satisfied; and based on the degradation evaluation value, generating an alarm signal or performing a countermeasure.

摘要: A smart-home device may include a solid state relay (SSR) switching integrated circuit (IC). SSR switching IC may include switching elements configured to open and close a connection between a power wire and a return wire of an environmental system; a voltage sensor that measures a voltage across the one or more switching elements; a current sensor that measures a current through the one or more switching elements; and a temperature sensor that measures a temperature near the one or more switching elements. The smart-home device may also include a wireless communication device that periodically receives voltage, current, and temperature data originating from the SSR switching IC and transmits the voltage, current, and temperature data to a device management server. The device management server may receive batches of voltage, current, and temperature data from a plurality of smart-home devices.

摘要: A system and a method of detecting a condensate line blockage in an air conditioning unit includes receiving a call for cooling indication from a thermostat associated with the air conditioning unit and detecting a pattern of a plurality of loss of power (LOP) to the air conditioning unit events, the LOP events caused by a trip of a condensate drain line switch. The method also includes analyzing the detected pattern for at least one of a frequency of LOP events in a predetermined time period and an elapsed time between successive LOP events, and initiating a condensate line blockage alert when the analyzed pattern meets predetermined condensate line blockage criteria.
