    摘要: An expander-compressor unit (10) includes a two-stage rotary expansion mechanism (3) having a first cylinder (41) and a second cylinder (42). In the expansion mechanism (3), a suction port (71) facing a working chamber on the upstream side in the first cylinder (41) and a discharge port facing a working chamber on the downstream side in the second cylinder (42) are formed. An intermediate plate (43) is provided between the first cylinder (41) and the second cylinder (42). In the intermediate plate (43), a communication passage (43a) for allowing communication between a working chamber on the downstream side in the first cylinder (41) and a working chamber on the upstream side in the second cylinder (42) is formed. The communication passage (43a) does not communicate with the working chamber in the first cylinder (41) during the suction process, and communicates with the downstream working chamber in the first cylinder (41) at or after the end of the suction process.

    摘要: Apparatus and methods are provided for cooling motors used to drive gas and air compressors. In particular, the cooling of hermetic and semi-hermetic motors is accomplished by a gas sweep using a gas source located in the low-pressure side of a gas compression circuit. The gas sweep is provided by the creation of a pressure reduction at the compressor inlet sufficient to draw uncompressed gas through a motor housing, across the motor, and out of the housing for return to the suction assembly. The pressure reduction is created by means provided in the suction assembly, such as a nozzle and gap assembly, or alternatively a venturi, located upstream of the compressor inlet. Additional motor cooling can be provided by circulating liquid or another cooling fluid through a cooling jacket in the motor housing portion adjacent the motor.

A roller is rotatably mounted on the shaft and eccentrically disposed within the compression chamber. The roller is coupled to the rotor such that rotation of the rotor rotates the roller and thereby compresses the working fluid within the compression chamber.

    摘要: A heat pump includes a first and second heat exchanger, a scroll compressor and a flash tank in fluid communication. The flash tank includes an inlet fluidly coupled to the heat exchangers to receive liquid refrigerant. Furthermore, the flash tank includes a first outlet fluidly coupled to the first and second heat exchangers and a second outlet fluidly coupled to the scroll compressor. The first outlet is operable to deliver sub-cooled-liquid refrigerant to the heat exchangers while the second outlet is operable to deliver vaporized refrigerant to the scroll compressor. An expansion valve is further provided and is operable to selectively open and close the inlet by a float device. The float device is operable to control an amount of liquid refrigerant disposed within the flash tank by regulating an amount of liquid refrigerant entering the flash tank via the inlet.

    摘要: An object is to provide a compressor capable of surely preventing leakage of a refrigerant gas from a connection portion between an airtight container and a pipe to the outside at low costs. The compressor comprises an airtight container to which a refrigerant introduction pipe is connected, and a compression element received in the airtight container to discharge the refrigerant into the same. The refrigerant introduction pipe has a cylindrical pipe main body, and a jaw-like flange portion formed in a tip of the pipe main body. A cylindrical connection sleeve is disposed between the refrigerant introduction pipe and the airtight container. A first bolt is disposed to connect the connection sleeve to the airtight container, and a second bolt is disposed to connect the connection sleeve to the flange portion of the refrigerant introduction pipe. The flange portion of the refrigerant introduction pipe hides the first bolt.

The novel refrigeration apparatus comprises a desorber/evaporator, a scroll compressor operatively connected to said desorber/evaporator, a resorber/condenser operatively connected to said compressor, an expansion device operatively connected to said resorber/condenser and to said desorber/evaporator and a circulating refrigerant comprising carbon dioxide and a liquid co-fluid in which the carbon dioxide is differentially soluble. The refrigeration method comprises compressing carbon dioxide gas and a liquid co-fluid in a scroll compressor to an increased pressure, such that carbon dioxide at least partially dissolves in the liquid co-fluid, and reducing the pressure on the liquid co-fluid containing the dissolved carbon dioxide so that dissolved carbon dioxide comes out of solution with the liquid co-fluid, and recirculating the gaseous carbon dioxide and liquid co-fluid to the scroll compressor.
