    Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for distinguishing between data formats, and a communication device. The method includes a terminal receives a downlink data packet, and determines whether the data format of the downlink data packet is a first data format or a second data format, wherein the first data format indicates that the downlink data packet is encrypted using a first key of a source base station and/or compressed using a first header compression format of the source base station, and the second data format indicates that the downlink data packet is encrypted using a second key of a target base station and/or compressed using a second header compression format of the target base station.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for ensuring continuity of services on handover from Wi-Fi to cellular networks are disclosed. Embodiments of the disclosure allow a UE to seamlessly engage in a call during a handover, which is triggered on detecting that QoS of the call is less than a threshold within a coverage area of the Wi-Fi. The continuity of the call is ensured by triggering a handover from Wi-Fi to LTE and preventing/reducing handover from Wi-Fi to NR. The UE avails calling services using LTE and data services using NR, by enabling NSA mode. The UE is allowed to avail calling services seamlessly by initiating a handover of the calling services from Wi-Fi to LTE and avail data services seamlessly by initiating a handover of the data services from Wi-Fi to NR. The handover from Wi-Fi to LTE/NR is initiated if QoS of the calling/data services is less than a threshold in Wi-Fi coverage area.

    Abstract: In an example, a wired network device receives a first join message originating from a client device associated with a first wireless access point (WAP) connected to another wired network device in a broadcast domain. An entry corresponding to the client device is created in a remote receiver record of the wired network device. In response to the client device transitioning from the first WAP to a second WAP connected to the wired network device, it is determined that the client device is locally connected to the wired network device. Intention of the client device to receive multicast traffic is identified. A second join message directed to the network address of the multicast group and distributed in the broadcast domain. A traffic flow path for the multicast traffic via the wired network device and the second WAP to the client device is configured.

    Abstract: A wide area network (WAN) communication framework having a common control plane and method for using the same are disclosed. In some embodiments, the wide area network (WAN) communication framework comprises: a plurality of management systems, each for controlling access to and traffic for one of a plurality of WANs that include satellite and terrestrial communication networks; a remote unit capable of communicably coupling to the plurality of WANs; and a master network management system (MNMS). The MNMS is communicably coupled to the plurality of management systems and coupled to the remote unit to aggregate control information from the plurality of management systems and the remote unit to determine which WANs of the plurality of WANs for the remote unit to use, wherein the MNMS uses a common control plane communicably coupled to the remote unit for control and routing of control traffic, including information indicating which WANs of the plurality of WANs to which the remote terminal can connect, the common control plane including a single, continuous control channel to which the remote terminal is connectable simultaneously with a connection to a WAN of the plurality of WANs.

    Abstract: Systems and methods provide automated generation of neighbor frequency lists for configuration of frequency objects for wireless stations. A computing device selects a target sector carrier of a wireless station of multiple wireless stations in a radio access network and identifies, based on distances from the wireless station, neighboring sector carriers of the target sector carrier. The computing device filters the neighboring sector carriers based on an azimuth of the target sector carrier to form a filtered set of neighboring sector carriers. The computing device calculates a probability of neighboring frequencies for the target sector carrier based on locations of the filtered set of neighboring sector carriers and generates, based on the calculating, a neighbor frequency list for the target sector carrier. The neighbor frequency list is used to configure frequency objects, for the target sector carrier, that ensure seamless handovers within the radio access network.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a source base station associated with a source master cell group (MCG), a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) repetition in one or more slots of the source MCG during a handover of the UE from the source MCG to a target MCG. The UE may perform, to a target base station associated with the target MCG, an uplink transmission in one or more slots to the target MCG during the handover, wherein PUSCH repetitions associated with the source MCG that overlap in time with the uplink transmission to MCG are canceled and a counting of the PUSCH repetitions is based at least in part on slots of the source MCG associated with canceled PUSCH repetitions.
