Abstract: A wireless RF access node is connected to a communication network and is adapted to provide communication services to a plurality of mobile entities. A server is connected to the communication network, wherein the server comprises a first publish-subscribe broker communications facility as part of a publish-subscribe broker network including one or more publish-subscribe broker communications facilities. The publish-subscribe broker network is operable to distribute published data packets between entities that have published data packets and entities that have subscribed to receive the published data packets via the publish-subscribe broker network. A second entity connected to any of the publish-subscribe broker communications facilities in the publish-subscribe broker network accepts communications from a first mobile entity if the second entity subscribes to data published by the first mobile entity through the publish-subscribe broker communications facility to which the second entity is connected.

Abstract: A cellular base station connected to a communication network is adapted to provide communication services to a plurality of mobile devices. A server connected to the communication network includes a first publish-subscribe broker communications facility as part of a publish-subscribe broker network including one or more publish-subscribe broker communications facilities. The publish-subscribe broker network is operable to distribute published data packets between entities that have published data packets and entities that have subscribed to receive the published data packets via the publish-subscribe broker network. A second entity connected to any of the publish-subscribe broker communications facilities in the publish-subscribe broker network accepts communications from the mobile device if the second entity subscribes to data published by the mobile device through the publish-subscribe broker communications facility to which the second entity is connected.

Abstract: In embodiments of the present disclosure improved capabilities are described for a system having a host computer connected to a communication network, wherein the communication network includes a publish-subscribe broker network adapted to provide publish-subscribe broker services to a sensor device in RF communication with a wireless RF access node, wherein the wireless RF access node is connected to the communication network and enables the sensor device to connect to the publish-subscribe broker network. The publish-subscribe broker network is adapted to route packets of sensor data, on behalf of the sensor device that publishes the sensor data, to a sensor-processing application, wherein the sensor processing application subscribes to the sensor data, and wherein the sensor processing application generates application data that is at least in part sensor data from the sensor device. The publish-subscribe broker network is adapted to route packets of application data, on behalf of the sensor processing application that publishes the application data, to a communicating entity that is connected to the communication network if the communicating entity subscribes to the application data.

Abstract: An example system includes a cellular base transceiver station having an RF coverage area and configured for RF communication with a first entity that is a transceiver device in the RF coverage area, wherein the cellular base transceiver station is communicatively connected to a server through a communication network, wherein the server comprises a first publish-subscribe broker that is part of a publish-subscribe broker network that comprises one or more publish-subscribe brokers, wherein a second entity connected to any of the one or more publish-subscribe brokers in the publish-subscribe broker network accepts communications from the transceiver device if the second entity subscribes to data packets published by the transceiver device, and wherein the data packets published by the transceiver device are routed through the publish-subscribe broker to which the second entity is connected.

Abstract: Improved capabilities are described for increasing the bandwidth in a wireless communication network, such as where host computers provide publish-subscribe broker services to a sensor device and a communicating entity. A queuing service application may provide service packet continuity when the sensor device or the communicating entity moves between two wireless RF access nodes (in the same or different wireless networks). The publish-subscribe broker network is adapted to route packets of sensor data, on behalf of the sensor device that publishes the sensor data, to a sensor-processing application, wherein the sensor-processing application subscribes to the sensor data, and wherein the sensor-processing application generates application data that is at least in part sensor data from the sensor device. The publish-subscribe broker network is adapted to route packets of the application data, on behalf of the sensor-processing application that publishes the application data, to the communicating entity if the communicating entity subscribes to the application data. The queuing service application connects to the publish/subscribe broker network and subscribes to receive packets of the application data matching the packets being sent to the communicating entity, wherein the queuing service application makes available the matching application data packets to replace application data packets that the communicating entity did not receive during a time when the sensor device or the communicating entity transitions between connections with the two wireless RF access nodes.

Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a large-scale broadband LTE wireless network capable of providing a very high wireless data capacity, wherein one aspect of the system utilizes a base station optimization server, wherein the base station optimization server comprises a publish-subscribe broker communications facility to which a mobile transceiver device is connected via a corresponding redirected bearer. A usage data reporting facility of the base station optimization server and the publish-subscribe broker communications facility are adapted to collect and report billing usage data for the mobile transceiver device for all data sent by the mobile transceiver device on paths that do not include a packet gateway (PGW) element, where the billing usage data is collected in the LTE network via paths that include the redirected bearer at the cellular LTE base transceiver station.

Abstract: A first optimization server including a first publish-subscribe broker is configured to connect to a first cellular base transceiver station, where the first cellular base transceiver station is configured to communicatively connect to entities, including a first entity, in an RF coverage area of the first cellular base transceiver station. A second optimization server includes a second publish-subscribe broker, where the first publish-subscribe broker and the second publish-subscribe broker are part of a publish-subscribe broker network that is operable to distribute published data packets between entities that are connected to a publish-subscribe broker of the publish-subscribe broker network, where the publish-subscribe broker network is configured to route data packets published by the first entity to a second entity via the first publish-subscribe broker and the second publish-subscribe broker if the second entity has subscribed to receive the data packets published by the first entity.
