Abstract: Various aspects of the disclosure relate to beam information for independent links. For example, beam information for one link may be sent on at least one other link. In some aspects, the independent links may involve a first device (e.g., a user equipment) communicating via different independent links with different devices (e.g., transmit receive points (TRPs) or sets of TRPs). For example, the first device may communicate with a second device (e.g., a TRP) via a first link and communicate with a third device (e.g., a TRP) via a second link. In some scenarios, one link can indicate beam switching for at least one other link. In some scenarios, one link can indicate link recovery for at least one other link. In some scenarios, one link can indicate link failure for at least one other link.

Abstract: A first communication device is configured to communicate with a second communication device and a third communication device in a wireless communication network using beamforming. The first communication device is configured to determine a new beam from a plurality of available beams of the second communication device in response to a beam failure event. The second communication device transmits a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) message to the third communication device. The BFRQ message contains information about the new beam determined by the first communication device. The second communication device receives from the second communication device a BFRQ response message.

Abstract: The disclosed technology enables quicker initialization of a new master node for a cluster when a previous master node fails by tracking node state in the cluster prior to being designated the new master node. In a particular example, a method includes, in a first node, designated as a current master node for the cluster, managing the cluster based on states of the nodes determined by the first node. While the first node is designated the master node, the method includes each of the nodes collecting, and storing locally, the states of the nodes. In response to a failure of the first node, the method includes selecting a second node of the nodes a new master node. Upon being designated the new master node, the method includes the second node managing the cluster of nodes based on the states of the nodes that the second node collected and stored locally.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises a processing device configured to identify compute nodes installed in a chassis of a modular server, and to determine a health status of the compute nodes. The processing device is also configured to designate, based at least in part on the determined health status of the compute nodes, a first one of the compute nodes to act as a primary node for publishing events generated by the compute nodes to a console of the chassis and at least one other compute node to act as a secondary node responsible for acting as the primary node in response to detecting one or more designated conditions. The processing device is further configured to monitor for the designated conditions, and to re-designate a second one of the compute nodes to act as the primary node in response to detecting at least one of the designated conditions.
