摘要: A method and apparatus for conditioning polishing pads that utilize an apertured conditioning disk for introducing operation-specific slurries, without the need for additional tooling, platens, and materials handling. The a method and apparatus utilize a vacuum capability to pull waste material out of the conditioning pad and through the apertured conditioning disk to evacuate the apparatus through an outlet port, the apparatus may also include self-contained flushing means and a piezo-electric device for vibrating the pad conditioning apparatus.

摘要: A plurality of projections and grooves are formed on a polishing member. The grooves are formed in grid pattern. A portion on which the grooves and the projections are formed (polishing portion) has a substantially circular shape in a plane view. Around the polishing portion, an outer peripheral portion having a fixed height is provided. The height of the outer peripheral portion is equal to the height of bottom portions of the grooves. Ends of each of the grooves extend to the outer peripheral portion, which allows slurry and the like entering the grooves to flow outside via the outer peripheral portion. When a polishing pad thus structured is to be bonded to a surface plate, adhesive is applied or a double-stick tape is affixed to a rear surface of a base member, and thereafter, the polishing pad is put in place on the surface plate. Next, the polishing portion is pressed to the surface plate from an upper side, and subsequently the outer peripheral portion is pressed to the surface plate from the upper side.

摘要: An apparatus for artificially aging blocks such as concrete blocks, vitrified bricks and natural stones, having the following features. An underlying surface, on which the blocks can be placed in such a way that their surface to be worked and the adjoining edges are exposed. Essentially freely movable distressing bodies for applying to the surface to be worked and the adjoining edges. A vibration device sets the blocks and the distressing bodies in motion in relation to one another in such a way that the distressing bodies act on the surface and the exposed edges of the blocks. A limiting device restricts the lateral or horizontal movement of the distressing bodies essentially to the surface of the blocks. A magnet for at least one of depositing and removing the distressing bodies. The height of the limiting device is reducible and/or the limiting device is displaceable in such a way that the magnet can be brought close to the surface of the blocks for the depositing and/or removal of the distressing bodies.

摘要: The invention concerns a knife sharpener for household knives or the like. In order to design a knife sharpener, which, one the one hand, can be used for sharpening and sits solidly on a surface without it having to be held, and which, on the other hand, is producible with little economic cost regarding production and assembly, the invention proposes a knife sharpener with a housing, which has a surface designed to be a base, and at least one longitudinal, cylindrical grinding element made from ceramics, at least part of the surface of which is arranged on the surface of the housing, whereas the base is designed at a right angle to a longitudinal line of the grinding element and the grinding element is positioned in the middle in relation to a projection of the base.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing gear plates (1) for a continuously variable gearbox wherein at least two gear plates (1) with the transmission surfaces (2) thereof are arranged in an opposite mauler. When the gearbox is in operation, said transmission surfaces come into contact in a non-positive mode with a power transmission element, on a device comprising at least one workpiece spindle (3) and a grinding disc (4) which is driven by a grinding spindle (5) in order to grind the transmission surface (2) of at least one gear plate (1). During the grinding of the transmission surface (2), a repeated relative oscillating movement is carried out radially in relation to the workpiece spindle (3), between the grinding disc (4) and the gear plate (1), in such a way that the grinding region of the grinding disc (4) is moved back and forth between an inner radius (2.1) and an outer radius (2.2) of the transmission surface (2). The gear plate (1) is rotated by means of the workpiece spindle (3) in such a way that the entire transmission surface (2) is ground.

摘要: A saw grinder having improved wear plates for allowing the saw grinder carriage to move without having to overcome the resistance caused by contact of the saw grinder wear plates with the peripheral edge of a saw blade. The wear plates form two separate wear plate assemblies, each having a slide plate and fixed plate containing a slot for slidably receiving the respective slide plate. This configuration permits the entire saw grinder, except the slide plates, to easily move in the direction of the force applied to the grinder carriage by allowing the slide plates to fixedly engage the peripheral edge of the saw while the fixed plates remain fixed to the saw grinder carriage and thus move therewith. Resilient members can be used to control the relative movement between the fixed plates and slide plates.

摘要: In a grindstone for fabricating a mold which has optical fiber engagement portions of an optical fiber guide block used for aligning optical fibers, two main grinding surfaces are provided to form the optical fiber engagement portions contacted with the sides of the optical fibers and a tip end portion which is contiguous to the two main grinding surfaces and which has a contour contained within a predetermined area. The predetermined area has a triangle shape which is defined by two tangent lines along the two main grinding surfaces and a preselected line drawn between two points determined on the two main grinding surfaces. The two points are decided in accordance with a predetermined formula.
