    摘要: A cleaning apparatus capable of effectively removing dirt attached to a bottom surface of a heat exchanger, is disclosed. The cleaning apparatus cleans the heat exchanger for regulating a surface temperature of a polishing pad. This cleaning apparatus includes: a moving mechanism configured to move the heat exchanger between a temperature-regulating position in which the heat exchanger can exchange heat with the polishing pad, and a retreat position in which the heat exchanger is separated from a surface of the polishing pad; and a cleaning mechanism configured to clean a bottom surface of the heat exchanger moved to the retreat position The retreat position is located on a side of the polishing pad. The cleaning mechanism includes at least one cleaning nozzle for ejecting a cleaning liquid to the bottom surface of the heat exchanger, or a cleaning tank in which the bottom surface of the heat exchanger can be immersed.

    摘要: A grinding method for grinding a plurality of platelike workpieces at a time is provided. The workpieces are attached to a support member and held on a chuck table. A grinding wheel is brought into contact with the workpieces to grind the workpieces at a time. The grinding wheel includes a disk-shaped wheel base having a first surface, a plurality of first abrasive members arranged annularly on the first surface of the wheel base, and a plurality of second abrasive members arranged annularly on the first surface of the wheel base radially inside the first abrasive members in a concentric relationship with the first abrasive members. The radial spacing between the first abrasive members and the second abrasive members is set larger than the minimum spacing between any adjacent ones of the workpieces.

The rough-grinding setting value in the next-time rough grinding step is changed based on a necessary time of the first finish grinding step to time at which the shape deviation amount reaches a first threshold or smaller in the first finish grinding step, and based on a total required time for the first finish grinding step.

    摘要: A process for retruing a profile in an abrasive wheel is provided. A lathe table including an edged cutting tool is used for fixturing a grinding wheel having an outside metal edge and an abrasive matrix adjacent thereto for rotation along an axis compatible for lathe removal of material at at least the outside edge of said wheel. A predetermined amount of material along said edge with the edged lathe cutting tool is removed using the lathe cutting tool. A rotating electrical discharge profiling tool which is attached to an electrical discharge machine is used for profiling of the wheel by electrical discharge machining of the abrasive surface with the rotating electrode. The process uses a machine specifically designed for electrical discharge machining of the profile. The machine also has a mechanism cutting a predetermined profile into the electrode without removing it from the machine.

    摘要: An apparatus for detecting the flatness of a top surface of a wafer includes a plurality of detector elements, a metal sink and a plurality of injection pipes. Each detector element comprises: a metal tube body, jet pipes, a light receiver and a light emitter. The method comprises: injecting ultra-pure water into the detector elements by injection pipes; emitting parallel beams along an upward-oblique direction, a preset Angle θ being formed between the beams and the vertical direction. The radiated beams above the water surface are incident on a receiver. The intensity of the beams received by the light receiver is used to calculate the height of the detecting point of the surface of the silicon wafer to determine the flatness condition of the wafer surface. The flatness of the photo-resist covered on the wafer surface can also be accurately measured by this method.

    摘要: A two-piece locking nut assembly for securing a mantle to a head assembly of a cone crusher. The two-piece locking nut assembly includes an inner nut and an outer nut. The inner nut includes a set of axial bores that each receive a jackscrew. Once the locking nut assembly is in position on the head assembly, the series of jackscrews are tightened to exert a force on the mantle that is counteracted by forces through the inner nut and into the head to create a locking force between the locking nut assembly and the head assembly. The outer nut is turned along the inner nut to hold the locking nut assembly in place. Once the outer nut is moved into position, the jackscrews are removed such that the outer nut continues to apply the locking force between the mantle and the head through the locking nut assembly.
