The sector gear is formed with a stopper arm protruding from one side thereof, whereas the base frame is formed with a long arc-shaped hole with which a pointed end of the stopper arm is engaged. The long arc-shaped hole is partly covered by a vertical wall of the second frame.

    摘要: A power seat adjuster for bucket type vehicle seats includes inboard and outboard track assemblies each including a fixed lower section, a movable upper or movable section and a precision sliding interface including roller bearings between the moving upper track and the fixed lower track, the surfaces of the tracks that are engaged by the roller bearings being crowned to provide a bearing surface that is slightly convex when the seat is unoccupied but which becomes nearly flat when the seat is occupied, and the bearing surfaces of the track being coated with a multi-layer dry film lubricant including a base coating of an anti-friction material and a top coating of an anti-stick material. The power seat adjuster includes screw drive mechanisms for providing horizontal fore-and-aft adjustment, vertical up-and-down adjustment and adjustment in the inclination of the seat back, with the length of travel being limited by travel limit stops that include anti-jam mechanisms which are adapted to reduce the breakaway torque required to move the drive screws of the screw drive mechanisms away from either end position.

The seat back is reclinable and is coupled to the rear of the seat cushion so as to raise the rear end of the seat cushion in response to rearward reclining of the seat back whereby the seat occupant's hip point is raised as the seat back is reclined to provide a more comfortable recliner. The recliner drive mechanism includes a lead screw with a motor/transmission assembly to drive the lead screw and includes a thrust washer carried by the lead screw to transfer axial loads on the lead screw directly to the motor mount rather than allowing the lead screw loads to be transferred to the internal components of the motor/transmission assembly.

    摘要: A power seat track apparatus for selectively positioning an automotive vehicle seat is adapted to be powered by an electric motor drive, preferably with separate motors for each drive direction. The seat back is mounted on the upper track of the seat track mechanism for horizontal drive with the track. The vertical drive through front and rear torsion tubes or bars act on only the seat pan and seat cushion but not on the seat back. Since the vehicle shock loading requirements must be met by the structural seat pan or seat frame, the pan for holding only the seat cushion may be reduced in size as compared to the usual power seat frame. The front of the seat cushion is interconnected with the pan through a lost motion pivot and the rear portion of the seat cushion is interconnected with the seat pan through a fixed pivot connection whereby simultaneous elevation and shortening of the seat cushion with respect to the seat back is effected.

    摘要: A recliner mechanism is disclosed for rotating an automobile vehicle seat with respect to the automobile floor. The recliner mechanism comprises a first plate member that is constrained from rotating relative to the vehicle floor and a second plate member that is selectively lockable with said first plate member. The second plate member is rotatable relative to the vehicle floor when it is unlocked from the first plate member and the seat is attached to the second plate member to rotate with the second plate member. An actuator handle is pivotally connected to the second plate member so as to rotate with the second plate member and the vehicle seat. The actuator member actuates an arrangement of linkages to lock and unlock the second plate member relative to the first plate member. Since the actuator handle is connected to the rotating second plate member, the handle will rotate with the seat and second plate member and thus be easily accessible even at the new seat position. The recliner assembly is sturdily constructed and consists of relatively few moving parts and in addition is axially and vertically compact.

    摘要: The attitude (as well as the position) of a front one of onboard seats which are disposed one behind the other is controlled. To secure a space for allowing an occupant to be seated upon the rear seat, a retracting limit of an entire front seat and a rear tilting limit for its seat back are determined experimentarily to define an extent of variable attitudes. When an occupant is seated upon the rear seat, the attitude of the front seat is controlled responsive to a command to change the attitude while making a reference to the extent of variable attitudes. A retracting movement of the entire front seat which goes beyond the rear limit as well as a rearward tilting or reclining of the seat back of the front seat which goes beyond the rear tilting limit are both inhibited. In this manner, when an occupant is seated upon the rear seat, the comfortableness of such occupant is secured if the driver carelessly enters a command to change the attitude of the front seat, while preventing any oppression presented to the physical body or causing a stressed attitude of the occupant seated upon the rear seat.
