    摘要: An anti-entrapment system for preventing an object from being entrapped by a translating device includes a capacitance sensor positioned in a jamb portion of the translating device, on the translating device, or adjacent to the translating device. The sensor has first and second flexible conductors separated by a separation distance and a compressible dielectric element interposed between the conductors. The conductors have a capacitance dependent on the separation distance. The capacitance changes in response to the separation distance changing as a result of the dielectric element compressing in response to a first object touching the capacitance sensor, and changes in response to a second conductive object coming into proximity with at least one of the conductors. A controller controls the translating device as a function of the capacitance in order to prevent the translating device from entrapping either object.

    摘要: In order, in a weighing device, in particular for use in high-resolution scales, comprising an elastically deformable force transducer, a sensor arrangement for converting the deformation of the force transducer caused on account of a force F acting on the force input section of the force transducer into an electrical weighing signal and a processing unit for calculating a weighing signal corrected by the hysteresis error of the force transducer, to be able to realize a correction of the hysteresis error even with the short-term load variations occurring in practice in high-resolution scales at an acceptable cost, it is suggested that the sensor arrangement comprise a first testing unit for the high-resolution determination of the weighing signal "S" and a second testing unit for the determination of the elastic deformation of the force transducer in small time increments (high time resolution), wherein the processing unit corrects the high-resolution weighing signal of the first testing unit by the hysteresis error on the basis of data made available by the second testing unit.

    摘要: The present invention is a displacement sensor, which is capable of keeping high sensing resolution even if the amount of displacement of the core and the amount of changing the inductance are small. In the displacement sensor of the present invention, a displacing body is capable of displacing according to external force. An LC resonance circuit includes a magnetic coil and a core made of a magnetizable material, which is capable of moving close to and away from the magnetic coil according to the displacement of the displacing body. An oscillator inputs continuous signals having prescribed frequency to the LC resonance circuit. A detecting circuit detects the amount of the displacement of the displacing body on the basis of amplitude of the continuous signals from the LC resonance circuit.

    摘要: A weighing scale having a differential capacitor transducer for generating an electrical signal proportional to the movement of a variable capacitor plate. The differential capacitor has a pair of fixed capacitor plates disposed in a parallel, spaced relationship with respect to one another with the variable capacitor plate being symmetrically disposed between the fixed plates. Each of the fixed plates is formed with double segments. Each segment of a plate is electrically isolated from the other segment of that plate and opposite adjacent segments of both plates are electrically connected to one another. A square-wave input voltage is applied between both sets of commonly connected segments. A square-wave output voltage is developed at the variable capacitor plate whose phase and amplitude varies in response to the weight of an object being weighed. Both square-wave input and output voltages are applied to a phase-sensitive discriminator which generates a weight-responsive direct-current voltage across a filter capacitor.

    摘要: A clamping or calibrator device for a coil spring of a weighing scale is described. The clamping device features a block and a pair of shims that sandwich a coil of the spring in a fixed location in the block. A first shim of the pair is contiguously disposed to an inner arcuate surface of the coil. A second shim of the pair is contiguously disposed to an outer arcuate surface of the coil. Each shim conforms to the respective arcuate surfaces of the coil. Each shim comprises a pair of lips that prevent transverse movement of the shims with respect to the block. This prevented movement insures that the coil will be properly located and fixed in position with respect to the block.
