    摘要: Radio-frequency component including several waveguide devices, for example antennas or polarizers, arranged in an array for transmitting and/or receiving electromagnetic signals. The radio-frequency component includes several ridges and each waveguide device includes: at least one inner wall; an upstream opening in the direction of propagation of the signals during emission; and a downstream opening in the direction of propagation of the emitting signals, linked to the upstream opening so that the emitting signals are transmitted from the upstream opening to the downstream opening. The arrangement of the ridges in the openings upstream of the radiofrequency component may be different from the arrangement of the ridges in the openings downstream of the radio-frequency component. The arrangement of ridges in the downstream openings of each waveguide device includes no more and no less than three ridges.

    摘要: A substrate-integrated dielectric resonator contains a substrate layer with a first dielectric constant, a plurality of dielectric vias, and a plurality of second vias. Each dielectric via includes a first via-hole extending through the substrate layer, and a dielectric material with a second dielectric constant contained within the first via-hole. Each second via has a second via-hole extending through the substrate layer and filled with gas. A dielectric resonator antenna containing a substrate-integrated dielectric resonator and a method of fabricating the same is also disclosed. By skillfully arranging second vias inside the DRA, the resonant frequencies of different modes can be controlled, and a wide impedance band-width with stable radiation performance can be achieved.

The dielectric waveguide includes at least a top side, a bottom side, and opposite sides arranged between the top and bottom sides. A distance defined between the opposite sides varies along the axis for at least part of a length of the dielectric waveguide.
