摘要: A variable-gain power amplifying technique includes generating, with a network of one or more reactive components included in an oscillator, a first oscillating signal, and outputting, via one or more taps included in the network of the reactive components, a second oscillating signal. The second oscillating signal has a magnitude that is proportional to and less than the first oscillating signal. The power amplifying technique further includes selecting one of the first and second oscillating signals to use for generating a power-amplified output signal, and amplifying the selected one of the first and second oscillating signals to generate the power-amplified output signal.

The amplifier may further include a second bias circuit to bias the second differential amplifier stage, where the second bias circuit is connected to the first input terminal to provide anti-phase bias control of the second differential amplifier stage.

摘要: An apparatus is disclosed for reducing resistor conductivity modulation during amplification. In an example aspect, the apparatus includes a power amplifier circuit comprising a first pair of resistors, a digital-to-analog converter comprising a second pair of resistors, a reference generation circuit comprising a third pair of resistors, and a scaling circuit. The scaling circuit is configured to accept a common-mode reference voltage and a common-mode output voltage. The scaling circuit is also configured to provide a first voltage at body terminals of the first pair of resistors, a second voltage at body terminals of the second pair of resistors, and a third voltage at body terminals of the third pair of resistors such that a summation of the first voltage and the third voltage reduced by the second voltage is approximately equal to an average of the common-mode reference voltage and the common-mode output voltage.

Circuital arrangements can reduce bias circuit and stacked transistors standby current during operation in the standby mode and to reduce impedance presented to the gates of the stacked transistors during operation in the active mode while maintaining voltage compliance of the stacked transistors during both modes of operation.

In certain embodiments, an electronic system includes a power supply that outputs a supply voltage having a nominal voltage level, a supply conductor for routing the supply voltage, and a group of integrated circuits (ICs) that each receive the supply voltage from the supply conductor. Each IC includes a supply sensing circuit that generates a sense signal based on a local voltage level of the supply voltage at the IC, a bias control circuit that adjusts a bias signal based on the sense signal to account for a difference between the nominal voltage level and the local voltage level of the supply voltage, and a signal processing circuit biased by the bias signal.
