    Abstract: A drive (e.g., hard drive) carrier can have a frame with a door that can open to permit installation of the drive and can snap shut to secure the drive within the drive carrier. The drive carrier can include a connector lock, which can take the form of a pair of pins extending from the frame and capable of engaging corresponding retention holes of a connector of a cable. The connector lock can help align the cable's connector with the drive's connector, as well as releasably lock the cable's connector in place when operatively connected to the drive. Damping couplings can couple the carrier frame to a computer chassis. The damping couplings and the flexibility of the cable vibrationally isolate the drive from the chassis, while the connector lock ensures the cable's connector does not unintentionally disconnect from the drive.

    Abstract: An optical transceiver for connection between an optical socket and an electrical socket is disclosed. The optical transceiver includes an electrical connector and an optical connector. The optical transceiver has an electronics housing holding the electrical and optical connectors in relative position to each other allowing the simultaneous connection to an electrical socket and an optical socket. The electrical and optical connectors may be moved between an extended position and a retracted position relative to the electronics housing when being engaged or disengaged with respective electrical and optical sockets.

    Abstract: An autonomous driving system having dual secure boot is provided. The autonomous driving system includes: a control system, a host, and a baseboard management controller (BMC). The control system includes a microcontroller, a first flash memory, and a second flash memory. The first flash memory stores first embedded-controller firmware and a first application image file. The second flash memory stores second embedded-controller firmware and a second application image file. When the autonomous driving system is turned on, the microcontroller executes a dual secure boot procedure to execute the first embedded-controller firmware or the second embedded-controller firmware. In response to the microcontroller successfully executing the first embedded-controller firmware or the second embedded-controller firmware, the microcontroller authenticates the first application image file or the second application image file. In response to the BMC executing the authenticated first application image file or second application image file, the host executes a boot procedure.

    Abstract: A system to monitor the condition of a flash memory device such as flash memory devices that store hardware settings for a BIOS or system logs in a computer system is disclosed. The flash memory device is controlled by a flash memory driver. A controller provides a command via a file system to write data to the flash memory driver. A flash memory module interfaces with the flash memory driver. The flash memory module is configured to determine whether the command to write data requires a block erase of the flash memory device. The flash memory module determines an erase time from when a command to erase a block is sent to when a status of write ready is sent by the flash memory device.

    Abstract: A nucleate boiling apparatus is disclosed that includes a base configured to fit onto a heat-producing object to provide immersion cooling to the object in a liquid-cooled computing environment. The apparatus further includes first and second pluralities of pipes extending from opposite sides of the base. Each of the first and second pluralities of pipes including a respective transition region and a respective flat region. The first and second pluralities of pipes in the transition regions extend away and up from the base, and the first and second pluralities of pipes in the flat regions extend away from the base in a fanned-out arrangement. The flat region of the second plurality of pipes is at a greater distance from the base than the flat region of the first plurality of pipes.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system for providing substantially 180 degrees, or more, of rotation between a sheet metal door mounted on a sheet metal sidewall of a chassis, relative to the chassis. The system includes a first and a second shaft passing through a module positioned between the door and the sidewall, whereby the door rotates about the two shafts, where the two shafts are not axially aligned. The chassis may hold sleds of a server, and the door may further comprise multiple linking modules, such that the sleds are coupled to the linking modules when the door is in a closed position, and the sleds are slid home within the chassis.

The cage includes a handlebar, a bar-linkage assembly, and a crank coupled to both the handlebar and the bar-linkage assembly. The bracket includes a front panel, two side panels extending from the front panel, and a plurality of slots.     Abstract: A cooling device for a computing system is disclosed. The cooling device includes an inlet conduit, a first cold plate, a connecting conduit, a second cold plate, an outlet conduit, and a heat conductor. Coolant flows through the inlet conduit.
