Abstract:
A hinge device includes a fixed element, a movable element and a slider housed in a working chamber and coupled to a pivot, so that a rotation of the movable element corresponds to the sliding of the slider. The working chamber includes an end cap and a working fluid and is divided into first and second variable volume compartment by a plunger member of the slider. A hydraulic circuit includes a first duct passing through an end cap that is in fluid communication with the first and second compartments and has an elongated tubular wall extending within the working chamber, and the interspace between the working chamber and the elongated tubular wall. The plunger member is tightly inserted in the elongated tubular wall, which includes a first peripheral conduit having a first and a second port in fluid communication with the first and respectively second first compartment through the first duct.

Abstract:
Techniques for performing calibration and beamforming in a wireless communication system are described. In an aspect, a Node B may periodically perform calibration in each calibration interval with a set of UEs to obtain a calibration vector for the Node B. The Node B may apply the calibration vector to account for mismatches in the responses of the transmit and receive chains at the Node B. In another aspect, the Node B may perform beamforming to a UE by taking into account gain imbalance for multiple antennas at the UE. The Node B may determine a precoding matrix for beamforming by taking into account gain imbalance due to (i) different automatic gain control (AGC) gains for receive chains at the UE, (ii) different power amplifier (PA) gains for transmit chains at the UE, and/or (iii) different antenna gains for multiple antennas at the UE.
Abstract:
In an actuator of a combined acceleration and deceleration device with an operating element which is height-adjustable along a guide element and, by means of an adjustment arrangement, relative to the guide element, the operating element comprises a support plate and at least one carrier lug which extends normal to the support plate and has a guide element accommodation opening for receiving the guide element. The adjustment arrangement has a tool receiving cavity and the support plate has elastically deformable abutment webs. The invention also resides in a sliding door comprising an acceleration and deceleration device as well as such an actuator.
Abstract:
A hinge assembly is provided in the form of a toggle type hinge, with an arm assembly (11) anchorable in use to a first member and a cup flange (13) pivotally connected thereto and anchorable in use to a second member. The assembly includes a linear damping device (15) and a mechanism for converting pivotal movement of the hinge into actuation of the damping device, at least over part of the range of this pivotal movement. The movement converting mechanism is arranged to produce the actuation of the damping device (15) through rotational movement about its linear axis via transmission of at least two equal and opposite forces acting symmetrically about this axis.
Abstract:
In acceleration and deceleration arrangement comprising a carrier element connected to an energy storage spring and supported on a guide surface so as to be movable between a park position and an end position wherein a piston of a motion damping cylinder piston unit is moved by the carrier element in a deceleration stroke direction when the carrier element is moved by a tension spring from the park position to the end position, the carrier element has a spring deflection area which is abutted by the tension spring so as to apply a tilting torque to the carrier element for pivoting the carrier element into a holding section provided in the guide surface at the park position of the carrier element.
Abstract:
A snap hinge with damped closure is provided, including a first articulated quadrilateral and a second articulated quadrilateral which share a first lever and a second lever and are provided respectively with a plate for coupling to a first element and with a plate for fixing to a second element. The hinge is movable alternately between an open configuration and a closed configuration, in which the plates have different arrangements with respect to each other. At least one damping element is interposed at least between the first quadrilateral and the coupling plate or between the second quadrilateral and the fixing plate for damped transition from the open configuration to the closed configuration or vice versa.
Abstract:
Soft-closing hinge for furniture comprising a movable hinge cup coupled to a door panel, a securing member coupled to a wall panel and a hinge arm configured to couple the hinge cup to the securing member. A damper on the hinge cup acts on the hinge arm at least when the hinge is closed. A spring is disposed in the hinge. One end of the hinge arm is hinged to the hinge cup. A cross section of an end of the spring is non-circular and has a sliding member with a concave chamber disposed thereon. An end of the spring is disposed in the concave chamber. A bottom surface of the sliding member acts on a rotation portion of the hinge arm via elasticity of the spring and moves relative to the rotation portion when the hinge is opened and/or closed to generate an opening or closing force.
