Abstract: Misconfigured user equipment (UE) can cause additional traffic generation to server devices (e.g., 911 server device) and overload the server devices. Thus, detecting these UEs and blocking them before they hit the application servers in the mobility network can be facilitated via an identification and blocking approach. The system can comprise an identification correlator that can correlate S1 interface application protocol identification (S1-APID) associated with the UE to an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) of the UE. When the identification correlator collects data feeds from a network, the identification correlator can share this data with a call data record engine to determine if the UE is a misconfigured UE and prompt the network core to drop/block the misconfigured UE from a communication.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device having a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, the operations comprising predicting a viewpoint within a volumetric video based on a movement input provided by a viewer, resulting in a predicted viewpoint at a future time, retrieving a cell occupancy bitmap for a point cloud of the volumetric video for the future time, determining visible cells based on the cell occupancy bitmap and the predicted viewpoint, where the visible cells are not obscured by points in other cells, and retrieving points of the point cloud that are within the visible cells prior to the future time.

Abstract: A processing system including at least one processor may obtain information regarding an exchange of an item, the exchange having a sterilization requirement for the exchange, and may identify a network-connected storage locker having at least one sterilization component that is capable of fulfilling the sterilization requirement and that is available for assignment to the exchange. The processing system may then transmit a first notification to the network-connected storage locker of a reservation of the network-connected storage locker for the exchange and transmit to a computing system associated with a source of the item a second notification of the reservation of the network-connected storage locker for the exchange.

Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards contextual network function selection and transfer. Techniques disclosed herein can be implemented at core network access management functions (AMFs). An AMF can obtain user equipment context information via a gNodeB (gNB). Rather than causing a local default session management function (SMF) and user plane management function (UPF) to process user equipment communications, the AMF can use a mapping function to identify, based on the user equipment context information, a proximal SMF and corresponding UPF which have a nearer proximity to the user equipment. The AMF can facilitate selection of the proximal SMF and UPF for the user equipment, and the AMF can transfer the user equipment context information to a proximal AMF that is better situated to serve the proximal SMF and UPF. By facilitating transfer to the proximal SMF and UPF, communication latency experienced by the user equipment can be reduced.

Abstract: Wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) devices that are not associated with a specific wireless carrier can be contractually operated as an extension of the specific Wi-Fi carrier. In this case, a display screen of a mobile device, that is currently communicating with the Wi-Fi device as an extension of the carrier, can display the carrier info. The display can be a result of a comparison between an internal mobile device data store and/or an external list that comprises the Wi-Fi devices that are acting as extensions of the carrier for a 5G network.
