    Abstract: Misconfigured user equipment (UE) can cause additional traffic generation to server devices (e.g., 911 server device) and overload the server devices. Thus, detecting these UEs and blocking them before they hit the application servers in the mobility network can be facilitated via an identification and blocking approach. The system can comprise an identification correlator that can correlate S1 interface application protocol identification (S1-APID) associated with the UE to an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) of the UE. When the identification correlator collects data feeds from a network, the identification correlator can share this data with a call data record engine to determine if the UE is a misconfigured UE and prompt the network core to drop/block the misconfigured UE from a communication.

    Abstract: A method includes receiving a request from an internet content provider to provide data about a subscriber associated with an IP address, where the data allows the internet content provider to maintain stateful and persistent information about an HTTP session with a user endpoint device associated with the IP address determining whether the Internet content provider is a trusted Internet content provider pre-authorized to receive at least some of the data about the subscriber, determining a subset of the data about the subscriber that is allowed to be shared with the Internet content provider, when the Internet content provider is determined to be a trusted Internet content provider, providing the subset of the data to the Internet content provider, when the subset of the data is determined, and denying the request to provide the data, when the Internet content provider is determined not to be a trusted Internet content provider.

    Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards contextual network function selection and transfer. Techniques disclosed herein can be implemented at core network access management functions (AMFs). An AMF can obtain user equipment context information via a gNodeB (gNB). Rather than causing a local default session management function (SMF) and user plane management function (UPF) to process user equipment communications, the AMF can use a mapping function to identify, based on the user equipment context information, a proximal SMF and corresponding UPF which have a nearer proximity to the user equipment. The AMF can facilitate selection of the proximal SMF and UPF for the user equipment, and the AMF can transfer the user equipment context information to a proximal AMF that is better situated to serve the proximal SMF and UPF. By facilitating transfer to the proximal SMF and UPF, communication latency experienced by the user equipment can be reduced.
