    Abstract: Systems and methods for sidelink (SL) resource pool resource use by a user equipment (UE) are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, when the UE performs contiguous partial sensing in addition to periodic partial sensing, the UE performs one of resource selection and resource re-evaluation based a size of a time gap between a slot where the UE has SL data and a first slot of periodic-based candidate slots within a resource selection window. In other embodiments, the UE performs contiguous partial sensing without additional periodic partial sensing in the case where a packet delay budget (PDB) for the SL data is greater than a threshold. In some embodiments, the UE performs periodic partial sensing for resource re-evaluation and/or resource pre-emption according to a set of periodicity values Preserve,re-ev (and optionally period definition data Kre-ev). Restrictions on the use of random resource selection by the UE are also described.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE), baseband processor or other network device (e.g., base station, next generation NodeB, etc.) can operate to process or generate an acknowledgement (ACK) or a non-acknowledgement (NACK) of a beam report to indicate an autonomous transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state update, which can be a TCI update without a corresponding TCI indication/trigger. The UE can determine the ACK/NACK in response to providing the beam report in the autonomous TCI state update. The UE can then activate a TCI state of the autonomous TCI state update in response to identifying the ACK or re-transmit the beam report for autonomous TCI state update when a NACK is recognized.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for port selection codebook configuration. A user equipment (UE) may decode a channel state information (CSI) report configuration (CSI-ReportConfig) from a base station. The CSI-ReportConfig indicates up to L CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) ports for selection by the UE out of P CSI-RS ports configured for measuring and reporting CSI. The UE determines selected CSI-RS ports out of the P CSI-RS ports. The selected CSI-RS ports include the L CSI-RS ports or less. The UE generates a port selection matrix W1 corresponding to the selected CSI-RS ports. The UE also generates an indication of the port selection matrix W1 to the base station. The CSI-ReportConfig may further configure the UE to select a subset of frequency basis. The UE determines a selected subset of frequency basis and generates a frequency basis selection matrix Wf corresponding to the selected subset of frequency basis.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for port selection codebook configuration. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of parameter settings of a port selection codebook. The port selection codebook includes a port selection matrix W1, a combinational coefficient matrix W2, and a frequency basis selection matrix Wf. Based at least in part on the parameter settings, the UE selects L CSI-RS ports, Mv frequency basis from a window of N consecutive frequency basis; and up to beta*L*Mv entries per layer, where beta is a percentage of the L*Mv entries per layer. The UE reports one or more of the port selection matrix W1, the up to beta*L*Mv entries in the combinational coefficient matrix W2 per layer, and the frequency basis selection matrix Wf to the base station.
