Abstract: Techniques described herein may include a special scheduling cell (sSCell) provided for dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS). The sSCell may schedule a primary cell of a master cell group (MCG) or a primary cell of a secondary cell group (SCG). The primary cell may be referred to as a special cell or SpCell. The sSCell may be activated and/or deactivated, enter in or exit from a state of dormancy, and radio link monitoring (RLM), beam failure recovery (BFR), and cell grouping parameters may be provided. Techniques described herein include configuring a UE-specific search space (USS) with non-fallback downlink control information (DCI), USS with fallback DCI, and overall search space for DSS enhancement.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for positioning reference signals (PRSs) for reduced capacity devices, e.g., in 5G NR systems and beyond. A UE may report, to a network one or more capabilities associated with a positioning procedure for location estimation. The UE may receive, from the network and based on the one or more capabilities, a reference signal configuration for the positioning procedure. The reference signal configuration may support coherent stitching (e.g., frequency hopping) with tone-overlap. The reference signal configuration may, to support coherent stitching with tone-overlap, include additional repetitions that enable mapping over a bandwidth and/or a scaling factor that may be based, at least in part, on an actual bandwidth, a desired positioning measurement bandwidth, and an overlap indicated by the UE. The UE may perform reference signal measurements based on the reference signal configuration.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided to enhance communications for NTN. In some aspects, a base station (BS) comprises a processor configured to schedule an uplink transmission in response to an uplink transmission request from a user equipment (UE) using one or more subframes ranging from a first uplink subframe to a last uplink subframe. The processor is further configured to determine or receive a timing advance (TA) indicating amount of subframes transmitted during a time delay between the UE and the BS and schedule a downlink transmission aligned with the uplink transmission. The downlink transmission is blocked from subframes ranging from TA plus one or more subframes ahead of the first uplink subframe to TA minus one or more subframes ahead of the last uplink subframe. The processor is further configured to transmit and receive, via a non-terrestrial equipment, the uplink and the downlink.

A phase discontinuity may be generated by muting at least the portion of PRS resources and transmission of the PRS resources may continue without regard to the phase discontinuity or transmission of the PRS resources may be shifted to account for the phase discontinuity such that a PRS transmission immediately after the muted portion of PRS resources may be shifted to remain in phase with a transmission that occurred immediately prior to the muted portion of the PRS resources.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for CSI enhancement for multi-TRP coherent joint transmission. A user equipment (UE) receives signals from a plurality of transmission and reception points (TRPs).
