    Abstract: A three-part computing device includes a display portion, a base portion, and a keyboard portion. The display portion can include a touchscreen, and the keyboard portion can include a keyboard having a plurality of keys. The base portion can include a central processing unit, memory, and a battery. The display portion, the base portion, and the keyboard portion are mechanically coupled to a common connector. The display portion can be pivotably rotatable about a longitudinal axis of the common connector with respect to the base portion and the keyboard portion. The keyboard portion is detachably coupled to the common connector and can be detached from the common connector while the display portion and the base portion remain coupled to the common connector.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for the determination of routes from, for instance, travel segment network data associated with different data versions. More particularly, a request can be received for a route from an origin to a destination. Graph data modeling a travel segment network for a geographic region associated with the origin and for a geographic region associated the destination can be accessed. The graph data can preserve boundary nodes for visiting during a search (e.g. a contraction hierarchies style search) for a shortest path through the graph data. The reach value of a boundary segment can be considered in identifying boundary segments to be visited during the shortest path search through the graph data. The route can be determined based at least in part on the shortest path.

    Abstract: A video communication apparatus is described, which includes a receiver for receiving video data from an internet telephony service over a communication channel, a display screen for playing the received video data received by the receiver, a wireless module for communication with a handset, and a processor configured to coordinate playing of the received video data on the display screen in synchronization with playing, by the handset, of audio data received by the handset from the internet telephony service. A handset is also described, which includes a receiver to receive audio data from an internet telephony service over a communication channel, an audio output to play the received audio data received by the receiver, a wireless module to communicate with a display device, and a processor. The processor can synchronize, using the wireless module, play of the received audio data on the audio output with display, by the display device, of video data received by the display device from the internet telephony service.

    Abstract: A method of annotating an electronic message executes at a computing device having one or more processors and memory. The memory stores one or more programs configured for execution by the one or more processors. The device displays a user interface for an electronic messaging application. The user interface includes a list of messages received by the user, and each displayed message includes a respective message summary that is displayed. The device receives from the user a description of a first task associated with a first message of the displayed messages. The user provides the description using a control in the user interface. The device stores the description as a first annotation associated with the first message and updates the displayed messages in the list of messages. For the first message, the device displays the first annotation as a substitute for the message summary.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, relating to testing three-dimensional imaging systems. In some implementations, a system includes a mount for a three-dimensional camera, a mount for a calibration target, and a rail to which the mount for the calibration target is coupled. The movement of the mount for the calibration target is constrained to the direction extending along the rail. The system includes a processing device having logic that receives a reading from a particular three-dimensional camera coupled to the mount for the three-dimensional camera. The reading includes a distance from the three-dimensional camera to a particular calibration target coupled to the mount for the calibration target. The logic receives a measurement of an actual distance from the particular three-dimensional camera to the particular calibration target. The logic then provides measurement characteristics of the particular three-dimensional camera.

    Abstract: A process searches electronic messages. The process displays a user interface for an electronic messaging application, including a label list panel comprising labels and an electronic message list panel comprising listed objects associated with a user of the electronic messaging application. Each respective object is visually distinct and represents one or more corresponding electronic messages received by the user. The user selects a first label from the label list panel and a first electronic message from the electronic message list panel. The user associates the first electronic message with the first label. The process receives a search query for electronic messages associated with the first label. In response, the process identifies electronic messages associated with the first label. The identified electronic messages include the first electronic message. The process then updates the listed objects displayed in the electronic message list panel, displaying only objects corresponding to the identified electronic messages.
